Sherlock Holmes Society of London has found the audio of Peter Cushing’s first episode “The Second Stain” and Kaleidoscope is working on a reconstruction.
“The London Society discovered the audio recording on a reel-to-reel tape donated with the Sherlockian collection of a former member.” (x)
This is your friendly Sherlockian reminder to check all attics and basements and storage units for cool tapes and reels and films that might be a lost discovery!
the discrepancy between the hound on the movie poster and the hound in the actual movie will never not be funny to me.

Welcome!
I’m Sage, the mod of this Peter Cushing appreciation/love blog! I’ve loved Peter Cushing since seeing him as Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin in Star Wars: Episode 4: A New Hope! I took the URL of this blog from a quote in which Carrie Fisher described Peter Cushing as smelling of linen and lavender! :)
Next my first film version of the Hound of the Baskervilles with my first (and one of my favorite too) Holmes actor Peter Cushing.
And my Favorite Sir Henry 😍
I had completely forgotten about the slight deviations from the book. But I actually really liked the film. . Simply brilliant :)
the series version of The Hound of the Baskervilles starring Peter Cushing again :) In the series version comes the deduction scene in Baker Street, which I missed in the film. As a fan of the book version, I like the series version almost a bit more. I should check out the other Cushing Holmes episodes :)
