All of Taichi's friends had their own personal ringtones on his phone. Cell phones were so convenient--he didn't even have to check to see who was calling or texting! When a cheesy rock .MIDI-esque song that was one of his defaults went off (2005 was great) on his way home from a late-running soccer practice, Taichi knew right away it was Yamato contacting him. Taichi insisted on making fun of Yamato's "badass rock star" persona at every chance he got, of course. He even changed his contact name to 'Knife of Ramen'!
Usually when the two exchanged texts, it was normally over something dumb. About boredom, about wondering what their Digimon partners were up to at the moment... And of course, the bickering. But this time it was something difficult to comprehend. It wasn't often that he got a text from Knife and Ramen that said something as vague as "and it's done". What was done? Was Yamato just messing with him, or being his drama queen self?
"?" Taichi had sent him in response, and after a few minutes of no reply, "whats done? What are you talking about dude?"
Nothing. Dammit, he wasn't going to let Yamato get away with saying something vague and not following it up. Plus, now he was getting kind of concerned. Did he have another bad fight with his father? Or maybe... something happened with Sora? Either way, Taichi wasn't far from Yamato's apartment, so he decided to just. Check on him. Really quick.
"I know you're in there, because I can hear you playing sad guitar chords!" Taichi said loudly over Yamato's front door, ringing his doorbell over a few times. Ishida-san didn't seem home, thankfully, or else they would both probably have been thrown out for all the noise.
