here's how to use custom text colors in your posts!

this is the guide i've been using, i'll be showing the method outlined here

i highly recommend doing this on desktop, as it will be easier to switch between tabs and access the html editor this way (also there is probably an easier way to edit text colors via html, but this is the way i know best and i'm not a huge computer girlie!)

so let's say i have this text here and i wanna make it pink

first make any font edits (bold, italic, size, etc) to your text

open this link in a separate tab

we are gonna work w this portion of the site here:

copy and paste your text into the top box and select your desired text color from the two colored text boxes next to it (hex code, rgb, whatever's easiest for you!)

for a solid color, make the two color selectors the same color. for a gradient, the first selector is the beginning color and the second selector is the end color

here is my selector after making my color choices:

press run and you should get a string of html code in the bottom box like this:

copy this html code

now you're going to return to your tumblr text post and click the settings icon in the top right (circled)

navigate to the text editor selector and choose html from the drop-down menu (circled)

your text post should now be open in the html editor w the option to switch back and forth between html and text preview like this:

on the html editor locate your desired text and select it like so:

paste the html code from the color selector and it should replace the selected text like this:

if done properly, your text should be colored once you return to the text preview!

꒰ ᡣ𐭩 ꒱ hello darling .ᐟ thank you for reminding me that my blog is also an aesthetic tutorial blog omg /gen — i've got you covered don't worry. so this tutorial will be on solid colour text but if you want to know how gradient text works i suggest this tutorial

you'll need two things :

site : roleplay formatter

web browser tumblr

so, to the tutorial

STEP ONE : open up roleplay formatter and type your desired text

STEP TWO : select the text you want coloured and click on the A symbol

STEP THREE : you can select a pre-listed colour but if you have a specific hex code, hit “more colours” — on the bottom right you will see a white box, put your desired hex code there and hit “ OK ”

STEP FOUR : repeat with whatever text is necessary and preview

STEP FIVE : hit “ source ” on the top left and copy everything

STEP SIX : open up tumblr browser and make a new post. select the gear on the top right and scroll down to “ text editor ”, then select “ HTML ”

STEP SEVEN : paste your copied text into the post

STEP EIGHT : hit “ preview ” to confirm if all is to your liking and then post ( or save as draft )

We need help, y’all! My sister and I need to move to Florida for her new job. All told, the move is gonna cost ~$5000. I’m on SSI, and my sister is a teacher. We don’t have that money just lying around.

I write fanfic for a number of fandoms and she makes semi-custom vinyl stickers (for laptops/mirrors/cars/etc). Any donation over $10 can ask one of us for a thank you gift.

I do understand if you can’t donate, but signal boosting is a big help too. If just 3% (an avg engagement rate for GFMs) of people who see it donated $10, I’d need about 20,000 people to see this. Help me reach a wide audience!
