🌺 I seemed to be no use; Despite the light-filled villager looking absolutely dead on his feet, and the ominous red light in his eyes merely a faint glow, seems nothing could get through to the guy as he wandered the empty stadium, listlessly patrolling for more intruders to knock sky high.

That was, until he caught a glance at his son. Oh, he isn’t....

“ ‘bastion, papa’s home~” It was a gentle look, one far too good for this world ending situation, and that would be none too soon as the tiny mayor dug through his pockets. “....hungry?” Yeah, that’s an explosive in his paw hand, and the cat’s eyes have the same sort of lost, reality shattered look as if he were having one of his usual Flashbacks-

💙~ Is he going to be the snuggly husband as they’re out? Yeah, but mostly cause when he wants his coffee, he’s very, very tired. A soft purr and he’s almost asleep; Swordfighter’s scent is just so calming after some of the hectic hours.

🌺 Headcanon;; What with their transformative powers, villagers often don’t get the hang of facial expressions on their own, and it can even take until moving out of their parents’ to get the grasp of it.

one notable example with Felix is picking up the shocked expressions from his Mii family, definitely a sign that his emotions are also branching out more healthily.

Swordfighter sighs and cuts a nice, wearable chunk of the scarf off. And another. And another. ... actually, maybe some for the rest of the family, too.

“I was disgusted the first time I saw someone make advances towards someone of the same gender, but then... long story short, I just kind of accepted it as a thing that was considered acceptable these days.” He chuckled a bit. “Besides, I’m not exclusively heterosexual, myself, I’ve noticed.”
