Another stunning custom pony! This time by Neelah, and is perfectly named 'Lemon Zest'. How stunning is the painted detail? Also love the subtle streak of lighter green in the mane!
Thanks again to Neelah for sharing her!

Exciting news! The Sweet Talking Ponies Podcast, who have already discussed Project G2 Redo in a pervious episode, very kindly hosted me as a guest on their newest episode!
We had an absolutely blast yesterday discussing all things pony - especially G2 and G2 Redo - and the episode will be available to watch or listen to very soon!
Why not catch up on their previous episodes while you wait?
Another teal dye bath update! These ponies have been in progress for SO LONG! I started dying these ponies on November 22nd, 2023 if you can believe it! 😵💫 A whole year! These of course aren’t the whole group - a lot of ponies from that first batch are “done” because I wasn’t trying to get a specific color match. And some of them got added, like the glitter big brother ponies! This group was dyed on October 6, 2024, and the colors looked *almost* perfect a few days later. But in direct sunlight, after two months to fade and post dish soap/alcohol rubdown, we see some of the colors have faded a little. Or, maybe my indoor photos weren’t color balanced properly? (This is also in direct sunlight, compared to artificial indoor light!) Either way, I think the match for Baby Melody is EXTREMELY close, and the real eye sees it even closer, at least mine does! The unicorn babies aren’t perfect, but they’re still cute. 🦄 And I think Baby Near and Dear is very close! Vintage ponies are very difficult to get precise colors on, I’m realizing, because there’s just more variables for how the dye will settle! But they sure are cute! 💖 Watch this space for more updates! Maybe after the holidays though! 🤣
Her majesty, Princess Sunbeam. ☀️ I guess she's a custom now. Tinsel and mane couldn't be saved. It had super glue in it! So we went full makeover on her! Derpy is best princess. I ended up with an extra Funko Derpy that was a little scuffed up around the eyes. Since I really loved the Funko pony sculpts I knew I had to do something with her. I used some old Apoxie sculpt to give her a horn. The fashion-style seaponies came with little purses (why would a seapony need a purse? Then agin Hasbro thinks ponies need shoes -_-) and I had a few of those that were cast in blue plastic. The purses had little bubble/pearl/spheres-attached-to-each-other straps so I just cut all of the little spheres off and made a bubble crown with them. I gave her mane and tail a slight ombre effect, then coated them with a few layers of yellow glitter paint and some Americana pearlizing medium (basically adds sparkle to whatever) so her hair has a nice little sparkle to it to add her her princess-ness. Her whole body, eyes, and cutie mark were repainted in the usual acrylics, and sealed with DuraClear varnishes. Her horn and wings also got a bit of pearlizing medium because princesses must sparkle!

'Fangtastic' combines the rich black tone of 'Nevermore' into a beautiful ombre effect featuring 'Pink Paradise'. It was inspired by a certain black-and-pink themed vampire student at a famous high school for monsters!
