Look at this awesomeness! @ermergerdcait contacted me about a week ago about getting some of my designs shrunk down and cut on heat transfer vinyl so she could custom up some masks. I'm overjoyed at how well they came out! That does beg the question, though: should I make a run of masks in some of my designs? Not just Red Rising, but the whole gamut of things I offer. This one is still a work in progress, but I just couldn't resist sharing. Once again, @smalltimemoto hit me up for some stencil work for his 70's era Cimatti motorcycle. As plain as their wordmark is, this was one of my favorite designs to recreate over past couple of months. Maybe it's the simplicity of the lines and curves, or maybe it's just that proto-technology nostalgia. I don't post about it much, but I also do a fair amount of custom stencil work to help give that touch of perfection to detailed painting projects. A fine example of which can be seen here. My job was to recreate that tiny little old-school Honda "wing" logo that sits on that tank (in two directions because it would look funny as hell on the other side of the tank). This particular stencil (2.75" x 2.75" by the way), was an utter pain in the ass, but the results are just stunning. Now, all the credit goes to @smalltimemoto for the amazing paint work he does, but it's entertaining to see random motorcycles around town that have a touch of my handiwork.
