Well, it's Winter hell right now in Texas, so I've been bundling up and spending a lot of downtime pushing through all three seasons of Star Trek: Discovery. Well, it's the end of an era. I was respectfully asked to take down any items in my shop using any of the official Red Rising color and house sigils. There is something else brewing, but that is not my news to share. The powers that be, however, were kind enough to let me have until the end of the weekend to offer those particular items. Soooo, you have around 15 hours to get your fix before I cannot offer those particular decals anymore. Added bonus, everything in the shop is already 15% off, so now is the absolute best time to jump on this. All of my original Red Rising designs (ones not incorporating any of the official visuals) will still be available, and I will, naturally, be designing more. This is not a hurdle, it is an opportunity for better creativity. It's not been for lack of good reading; 2020 has dropped some of the absolute best books I've ever read in my proverbial lap. I guess I just haven't been overly inspired to put brain to vector to knock something out. The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab, however, knocked me in to gear. I knew almost immediately that it was going to inspire me just because of the role art plays in the novel. Recently I was approached to do some custom work for a customized Jeep owned by a huge fan of the Mandalorian. I ended up doing two giant mudhorn sigils and a custom requested "This is the Way" treatment to go along with the glorious wrap job she had done to her hood. Look at this awesomeness! @ermergerdcait contacted me about a week ago about getting some of my designs shrunk down and cut on heat transfer vinyl so she could custom up some masks. Some days I just have some extra room on a cut and want to try out something I've been playing with. I'm guessing that about 35-40% of the time, the executed design just doesn't come together and I end up with a mess of chewed up vinyl. Today, however, I was rewarded with grand success! I've been playing with the lines of this Dark Mark to try to help retain the incredible detail while also making it feasible to cut correctly at a normal size. Now to decide if I should put it in the shop....
