An AU focusing on persecution, mental illness, and Dadniel with some Dadvid sprinkled in.

A fanfic is in the works. No romance, haven't decided if there would be or not.

An idea of the story:

Daniel was a young kid born into a compound. He was.. an odd child however, treated as a freak for the tail he had been born with. His parents sold him to a circus where he grew up for awhile before eventually escaping his chains, killing his captors and fleeing into the forest.

Here he resides in Sleepy Peaks after a long travel, and eventually a cult forms, hearing about the creature that stalks the woods. They worship him as a god, bringing sacrifices. One day, they kidnap a kid from a nearby camp, attempting to sacrifice him to their god. Daniel, instead, doesn't eat the kid but takes him with him.
