Kaeya and Diluc childhood headcanons because I love them💓(´▽`ʃ♡ƪ)
Have some headcanons about these two lovely siblings. <3
Anyway, go follow me for more of these, ehe~ Ty!!
Kaeya actually once tried to sneak wine from the mansion during midnight because he didn't know there was a certain age allowed for drinking
It was late at night. They sleep at around 7:00pm so him and Diluc can wake up early to train their swordsmanship skills, however, Kaeya could not sleep and felt too awake to do so although the clock already chimed 12:00 am. Boredom is something he finds as an opportunity to do things his never done before and so, ideas began forming inside his head. Suddenly, curiosity made him out of bed, to the wine bottles' storage room inside their mansion, his eyes staring directly with wonder at one of the wine bottles. He thought that maybe Diluc would want some too but convinced himself that he probably already drank a lot because he had stayed longer here. Afterall, he is the real son. Kaeya cautiously peeked outside the room & saw that no one was there, a wine bottle tightly held by his small arms. Kaeya quickly tried to uncork the bottle but couldn't, the exact moment a candle light made its way down the stairs to head to the first floor bathroom, stopping for a moment, a few paces away from the wine storage room Kaeya was in. By the time Kaeya lowly groaned with pain because the cork was too tight, the candle light was a few meters away from is face and he slowly looked up scaredly, expecting his new father Crepus but-
"Kaeya, what are you doing?! What in the-? Kaeya! You're not in the right age to drink yet!" Diluc exclaims as he snatches the bottle away from him, confusion all over Kaeya's face in return. "You're going to make father mad! Plus, you're too young! Wine won't do you good!" Diluc told him sternly as Kaeya silently stared back, shock all over his face. Diluc sighed and put the bottle back on one of the shelves, calmly telling his brother, "Kaeya, there's such thing as legal drinking age and trust me, you can wait until that day comes. Don't rush. Come on now, let's head you back to our room but I will use the bathroom first." And with this, Kaeya obediently follows and nods in response, removing worry from his brother's head.
Diluc thought he could muster not drinking grape juice when Kaeya challenged him
"Absolutely stupid," Diluc muttered. He shot him a glare, his blue eyed brother staring back at him with a playful smirk. "Oh, but you accepted it. Too late, I guess?" His brother mischieviously tells him, sitting on the opposite side of a Monstadt board game on the floor. It's a simple board game that needed a dice to get the characters to move to the finish line, however, Kaeya thought 3 steps back or 7 misturns were stupid punishments so, he instead suggested that if one lands on an unlucky tile, the person gets challenged by their opponent. Diluc agrees excitedly, unaware of his brother's intentions until he landed on the first unlucky tile and he was challenged by Kaeya not to drink grape juice for an entire week.
"No." Diluc finally says with a serious look. Kaeya furrows his eyebrows at him and tries to guilt trip him by reminding him that he agreed on it. And so, Diluc agrees, confident in himself that he could achieve such thing but also because Kaeya's voice slowly deteriorates his brain cells. 'The audacity of this orphan-' but he shook the thought away.
It was a Wednesday afternoon, Crepus was busy managing the winery & looking out onto the window when he heard small stiffled snivels behind him. He turned around to his right to see his red haired son stiffling a cry, holding in his breath as if that would stop some tears from falling off his cheeks. His blue haired brother stood to his left, guilt and worry overtaking his entire being. "It was just a game..." Kaeya mutters, low and apologetic, almost filled with regret as he looked down. Diluc wipes a few tears off his cheeks before holding it in didn't make sense anymore and he just lets them all gushing out. "KAEYA CHALLENGED ME NOT TO DRINK GRAPE JUICE FOR A WEEK! *sniffle* *sniffle* I- I can't- can't..." He pauses, bracing himself to burst, "do it!" and then an entire pool of tears just came down before his father could even comfort him. His father kneels before him on one foot, a concerned look on his face. "It's not that I hate him for it. I'm just disappointed that I can't do it. I'm so upset. It should be easy but I really need my grape juice. I miss my grape juice so much. It's been like two days." Diluc tells his father, snivelling.
Kaeya rolls his eyes and mutters something beneath his breath, "Yeah, two days Diluc." with such annoyance and to his surprise, Crepus was actually looking at him but chuckling at the same time. "It's just a game Diluc. If you can't do it, you can tell your brother." Crepus tells Diluc while trying at his hardest to hide his laugh, trying to make eye contact when Diluc suddenly looked up, eyes so tender and sad from tears, "BUT HE SAID I AGREED AND I SHOULD DO IT NO MATTER WHAT!" He shouted, a defeated tone so madly said that Crepus actually felt bad. Now Kaeya really wants to shrink and disappear from the entire world. This is his end. His going to get disowned here and his mission won't be a success at all. He'd be a living failure for Khaenri'ah just because of a grape juice issue. Crepus sighs and smiles back at Kaeya, meeting his eyes, "Will you please let your brother drink grape juice?" He asks him kindly. Kaeya suddenly felt disappointed. He wanted to see what would happen to Diluc if he didn't drink grape juice for a while but maybe his seen everything now, guess he should just say yes? And so, Kaeya allows him, Diluc's cries finally ending slowly and quietly, calming himself as his father chuckles at the two.
Kaeya once had a rare starconch with a twin stuck onto it so he kept it by his bedside everyday until Diluc broke it
"You broke my unique starconch!!!" Kaeya yells at Diluc who seems to be brushing off crushed shell pieces from his left foot. "That was my favorite, brother Diluc. It's extremely rare. It was so pretty too..." Kaeya says before he felt his heart crush. Diluc sighs and meets his brother's gaze, "I'm sorry." He says but Kaeya was too sulky that the apology only sounded pathetic and nonsense. He planned to tell their father but that thought stopped him from his tracks. It's fine though, he seems like a real father now anyway. Surely, Father Crepus would consider him too.
Kaeya tells their father Crepus and Crepus pinches the bridge of his nose, his mind fighting off the stress and balancing his attention to his sons and the paperwork before him. He stands up from his desk, tired. "I'll talk to Diluc about it okay? We'll find you another one... don't worry." Crepus tells his adopted son, only for him to reply, "No, it's rare." And he sulkily goes back to his room, covering himself with his blanket on his bed, avoiding any social activity.
The sun had already left the sky and Kaeya had not once left his bed since the rainy afternoon. He was too busy being upset over his broken rare starconch, thanks to Diluc for being the culprit. He can't help being so bothered by it especially that he doesn't get rare treasures too often. Perhaps, this might've been the first time. Kaeya had to admit though, lying down can be pretty tiring. He kind of wants to do... starconch picking again. That's when the door of he and Diluc's room opened, Kaeya immediately glancing at the door only to see Diluc with a bucket of starconches before his father who stood by the doorway. Kaeya looked at them, mouth slightly wide open, awestruck. The starconches on the top of the bucket we're the rare ones. Three... no, four... no, there's a lot. Diluc looks at him shyly, his face angled a bit down.
"I felt bad so... I asked if father and I can go starconch picking and found 16 of those rare starconches. Well... I didn't pick them but, there was a kind merchant selling it under the rain. We gave him a free umbrella too." Diluc shyly tells him, still guilty of causing the incident.
"So, you bought it?" Kaeya asks him.
"Yeah..." He slowly answers, glancing at his brother then down and repeat.
There was nothing but an awkward silence for a long while that Crepus actually had to nudge Diluc to do something to his rarely silent brother, looking down with still a sad face. "Sorry Kaeya. Come on now. I picked a lot for you. You can have all the rare starconches in the world and I'll willingly pick them all out for you." Diluc tells him as he walks over to his brother, joining him by his bedside, the bucket of starconches, heavy on his hands. Kaeya glances up at him, only to recieve an awkward, quick, and unexpected hug from his red-haired brother. They stare at each other after the hug and they pause, processing what just happened, not noticing that Crepus had already left the scene. It felt so awkward that Kaeya and Diluc burst out laughing.
Sorry this was long!! However, I'll be putting a part 2 my beloveds <333 I hope you guys enjoyed my writing. I absolutely love Kaeya (and Diluc but Kaeya Supremacy) 💖(´▽`)
