Recently started watching Todd And The Book Of Pure Evil after seeing Chris Leavins (of CuteWithChris) was in it along with Jason Mewes. I didn't really have high expectations, and after the first episode or two, still didn't think it was anything too great. Very soon after though, Leavins' hilariously portrayed Atticus Murphy Jr. and some really nicely done inversions of common monster-of-the-week mystery show tropes really kicks the series up in quality.
It's incredibly refreshing to see characters just say "Fuck it. Why make a big deal of looking for the evil thing? It always comes to us." or realize that people are using the book anytime something slightly amiss goes on (such as Hannah realizing someone's using the book because he beat her at chess). The self-awareness of the show's structure and common tropes of the genre make for some very entertaining moments. Probably my favorite point in the entire series has been its version of the Token Musical Episode, "2 Girls, 1 Tongue" from which the above clip comes from. Hilarious and ridiculously catchy, good songs.
I highly recommend checking this show out if you have the chance.

I tried to think of a single guy I could spend more than an afternoon with, let alone a lifetime, and he was the only person I'd ever been able to tolerate. He knew every pissy part of myself and didn't seem to mind. I used to think a relationship should bring romance and excitement to my life. Now I knew the best thing it brought.
