うち・いえ（家）

It just occurred to me that I don't clearly know the difference between these two readings of the kanji 家, so I looked it up quickly.

いえ means house and うち means home.

いえ refers to the building itself while うち refers to where the people live and who they are.

Somehow I'm going to remember this by associating うち with Uchiha Sasuke (who sought to take revenge on Itachi for slaughtering his うち).
