you had a french class that adressed issues of misgendering nb people in french???? that sounds so interesting
Yeah! I came up as part of the broader topic of how to clear up misunderstandings/disagreements in class that we had on the first day. The class is on postcolonial Francophone literature and so is a lot about race and most people in the class are white, so discussing how not to be an asshole and how to correct people if necessary was kind of a must. I don’t know if issues of misgendering would have been discussed with the other issues unless three of us in the class were nonbinary though. Maybe? We discussed it in my second year French course too.
