I’m gonna answer this publicly cause I know there’s ppl out there that wanna know lol. It’s gonna be a long answer so be prepared. Anyways so this all started back when my dad was a kid living in mexico.

So my dad and all his siblings along with his parents all slept in one big bed since they lived in a really small house. One night one of my dad’s sister starting crying in the middle of the night and basically woke up everyone. She was maybe only 2 or 3 years old but she started pointing at the corner of the room and was yelling about a dark, scary man standing there. My grandma tried to calm her down but she still kept on crying and yelling about the shadow. So my grandpa was fed up and grabbed his knife and started slashing and cursing into the corner where my aunt was pointing. He does this for a for a minute or two and finally my aunt calms down and they all go back to sleep.

This is the part that scared me when my dad first told this story. So later that night my grandpa wakes up to feel a something pushing down on his chest. He can’t move and the pressure gets bigger as each second goes by. My grandpa tries to speak and yell out for my gramma for help but isn’t able to. My dad said he described it as “el muerto se estaba subiendo en mi” meaning a dead man was on him. Being catholic, my grandpa starts to pray. He prays until finally the pressure is lifted off of him and he wakes up my grandma. She denies ever hearing him call her name and that was basically the end of that.

Now fast forward to like 8-10 years ago when we first moved into this house. My dad wakes up in the middle of the night with this weight on top of him. He struggles to get up and starts to call for my mom. She doesn’t even wake up and still he can’t move and the pressure grows. He, too, starts praying and a few seconds later he can finally get off the bed and shakes my mom awake. She also says she didn’t hear him and my dad is adamant that he was basically yelling at her. So fast forward to now two years ago for me.

I remember trying to fall asleep and end up on my side facing this mirror I have in my room. I’m never comfortable calling asleep in my side but I guess I was exhausted that night. A few minutes later I see a black shadow in the corner of my mirror and I start to feel this weight just pushing down on me. I try to move but I can’t. I’m paralyzed. I couldn’t even move my fingers. I’m legit so scared at this point and try to call me sister who was sharing the room with me but she doesn’t hear me. Now I’m not a religious person but growing up in a catholic residence had me learning and fearing about the devil and demons so I’m just crying and trying to get my sister to wake up at this point but I just start praying in spanish and just repeating the prayer over and over again. I finally feel the pressure lift from me and I get up and look over at my sister. She’s fast asleep and I’m just in my bed trying to process what happened. I took a few breaths and just laid down back in my bed and tried to fall asleep. I woke up the next day fine and I never told my parents about it until I heard my dad talk about his experiences too.

I guess you could say it was sleep paralysis and I’d tend to believe that but I never sleep on my side anymore or face my mirror when I’m sleeping. It hasn’t happened again and when I told my friends about it they spun it to mean I had a demon in the family and is basically my lucky charm in getting everything comic-con related because I’ve been lucky enough to get 4 day badges and my first choice hotel for two years in a row. So yeah there’s my demon story and I’m sorry to have made it so long and not add a read more but being on mobile suck sometimes

why, darling?

Because whenever someone reblogs or mentions Frank, Gerard, pretty much anyone, it's 96% of the time in a sexual context. And it makes me super uncomfortable. It's literally not anyone's fault (people are allowed to think as they like), but sometimes it gets hard for me to tolerate my dashboard. It's why I try to keep my followers list to a minimum all these years, because I hate having to unfollow people when I start feeling uncomfortable (because it might make them feel bad themselves). It's just my frame of mind. Maybe I need to take a break. u.u Thank you for allowing the rant, Lovely. ✿
