Casual break up buddies moment, just chillin with your fellow single man
Y'know I randomly think about this so Imma just let myself talk about it
Why do people do the "genderbend thing/thirst" onto gay/lesbian characters?
What I mean is, sometimes I'll see people take a gay or lesbian couple, most of the time just gay, and genderbend one of them, causing the other to become very flustered or thirst after their partner more
Most of the time I see this in the Gacha Club/Life community but it's still weird that it's done
Like, it's alright if they're a gay/lesbian couple with one of or both members of the couple being Bisexual or Pansexual or something, but when that's not confirmed or it's implied to be only gay/lesbian, that's where I get confused
Because... They're gay, they're lesbian. They fell in love with a man/woman, that's who they love, their male/female partner. It's kinda... Counterproductive? Is that the word that fits how it seems? It feels counterproductive because they fell in love with the same gender, not the opposite.
And if it's a matter of "they love their partner for their personality so they'll love them no matter the gender" then, one, that's more Pansexual and lands into my earlier point of "They can be, it's just not confirmed" and, two, then they have no real reason to be thirsting over their genderbended partner, they can like the appearance but if it's all about the personality then why are they drawing so much attention to the looks and the body?
It's just weird as hell to me, that's all.
Like, if I were to do this with say... Mad and Blue from CV.
If I turn Blue into a girl, Mad wouldn't make a big deal out of it. He still loves Blue obviously but he's not attracted to females so nothing, physically, would do anything for him. You could give Blue huge boobs and this man would look at you judgingly before acting like they don't exist. Because he's not into that. He is into males, men, handsome faces, fucking penises! There is no other way to put it.
So like, why do the gay/lesbian characters react that way??? It literally confuses me to no end.
Now there are two of them.
Tiny bit suggestive? Ig? Depends on how you take it :)

Blueberrylatte but it's the Ruby and Sapphire fuse into Garnet scene from Steven Universe
"Did they hurt you?"
"No, no. I'm okay. Did they hurt you?"
"Who cares?!"
"I do!"
