 Harper stared at the girl before her with a blank look. She was in the middle of teaching until Camila blurted something out about murder and if she could use her as a lawyer if ever something happens. “If you’re planning to murder someone, I suggest you do it in the cover of darkness. And ask your parents first if they’d use me as your lawyer.” she told her before lowering her finger as a signal to ask her to sit down.

the pair are window shopping in town when the question pops up suddenly. penelope’s dark eyes glance back at the older with slight shock glazed over them, stopping in her tracks. “what the hell, camila?” she’s not sure if the other is talking to herself or if the question was directed towards her. nevertheless, words are quickly put together to form an answer as the tenseness in her body slowly disappears. “...it was in the human anatomy classroom...”

it's only when the panic has subsided and he's crashing, slowly, from the adrenaline running through his veins does he finally reach for his phone. he had no one to call, he realises as he curled up on the floor, flipping through contact after contact. that was a lie; he had too many people to call but none who could give him the relief he was seeking. the one person who would help him destress was the one person who was causing it. go figure.
