@cvptainmccoy that's amazing!!! I've met most of tng cast too and you have nothing to be nervous about!! They are some of the most down to earth sweetest people I've met!! Gates and Marina kept telling me how beautiful I was, LeVar and I had a nice long conversation about how I work at a children's library and how me and my boyfriend want to make children's books of our own, Jonathan Frakes is... well.... all over the place lol but he's super funny and nice to meet! Michael Dorn is pretty stoic and sarcastic but again, still very kind! With meeting celebs at cons, it's really just seeing what time they'll be at their autograph booth and then waiting in line to meet them! Or if you're meeting them for a photo op, just first thing you do when you get to the con is to find where the photo booth area is (so you're not rushing around 15 minutes before you have to be there for your picture later) and then remember what time you have to be there for the picture!! It's important to be at least 15 minutes early to your photo op but I usually go a good 30 minutes before I have to be there!! Also I forgot to mention in the original ask is that bring your own water bottles and snacks!!!!!!! Convention food is so expensive and the lines are usually suuuper long! So bring a backpack and stock it with water bottles and like granola bars and fruit gummies, little snack stuff like that that'll get you through the day!! Also pack hand sanitizer, chapstick, (if you're cosplaying then a little sewing kit, duct tape, comfortable shoes, and any makeup you'd need for touch ups) some ibuprofen, and a phone charger!!! It's better to be safe than sorry!! Trust me!! And try to keep it all in a comfortable bag that won't hurt your back or shoulders throughout the day!! I hope this helps a little more too!! If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask!! I hope you have fun if you do end up going!!!!

This is the worst secondhand embarrassment I've ever felt...holy crap!
Yeah, though I don’t think I’m feeling secondhand embarrassment. More like pity for the people of LaLaLand and Warren Beaty, overwhelming happiness for Moonlight and a lot of anger at the Academy for taking so long to realise the mistake and putting them through this.

I hate that he found it necessary to apologize because of the backlash. I thought his speech was going to be absolutely awful (that’s how Tumblr made it seem) but then I watched it and was like wait what? I agree he did get a little mixed up on his words, but who doesn’t when they’re nervous? However, I think his message was a good one; he just needed to express it clearer.
Well, as I said, sometimes it is better to clarify a misunderstanding instead of letting it become something bigger. It is not about being in the right or being in the wrong. It would have been nicer if it wasn't necessary, for sure. I think though that it helps a lot, because many people had an impression that wasn't what he wanted to convey. I saw it and cringed, because I understood what he wanted to say, but it is not how it sounded without having background on just how much involved he is with this issues. Now he can continue to celebrate and give it a rest, even if others might not.

The problem is he's not going to be doing any of the horrible things, his cronies will

mads, stop being a buzzkill! let us dream. LOL
^ ;)
His cronies were there before and will be there after him. Fighting them is a different task that we face every day.
For now though I’m slightly content if his hands are busy with his phone instead of the red button on nuclear weapons. ;)

better: spam him with sending him pics of gays kissing, interracial
Uhh, better plan. ;D Or we do both!
We just have to be careful that he isn’t that disgusted that he puts the phone away. That would be dangerous. ;)

Or you can discuss about TH all day long :-)
Better not. That ends in worse than Trump on the nuclear weapons. ;) These discussions are pretty one minded anyway.
Happy birthday!!
thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!

Sorry, one of my NOTPs. I know many say “oh science” “oh intelligent”, but I simply can’t see it. Not in the slightest. I don’t even see the appeal as a crackship. Good for those that do, but I don’t get it.
I don’t think Jane would degrade herself that much as that she’d go for a perpetual liar who is inable of honesty. Her moral compass is much more driven by doing the right thing (even if that might take little twists) than Loki who has very bendy morals and would kill for a bit of fun.
Beside why go for Loki, when you have Thor? ;)

Yeah, I feel so bad for the cast and crew of La La Land and that the Academy made such a huge mistake and Warren Beaty is taking the blame for it. Someone is most definitely getting fired…
Yeah, and Warren even noticed that something was wrong and didn't say the fatal words. Faye Dunaway did, but she wasn't the one who got the wrong envelope. That's on the Academy and only them.
