What is the kingdom’s take on lgbt muses? Would they have backlash or would they be arranged with someone they could love?

despite the kingdoms being just off the coast of south korea and having adapted with modern cultures and technology through the years, there is sometimes tension but not as much backlash on lgbtq+ muses. kingdoms do still hold a lot of old traditions and values for their ruling families (having a king and queen), so even though muses may be less heavily criticized about being lgbtq+, there is still an unspoken understanding and expectation that a muse would abide with royal traditions and enter a marriage with whatever partner is chosen for them when ascending the throne, or being placed into a marriage for royal alliances. this is not to target any muses specifically, but because royal relationships are heavily centered around politics and not true love and romance.

that being said, all lgbtq+ muses are welcome here and do not have to be forced into a "traditional" relationship by the rp lore as no royals are currently ascending the throne. if you want your muse to have any plots or character development surrounding the traditions that are still present in the kingdoms that is perfectly fine and completely up to you!

just to emphasize, lgbtq+ muses would not be scorned in any of the kingdoms whether this information is known ic or not. as well, all muses can have secret or open relationships and that would be okay too! just keep in mind that with the open relationships, there may be some people who still don’t approve of it so that’s where the criticism can come into play.

the answer to that is yes!!

since all palaces do have electricity and although the lands are hybrid between modern technology and more traditional times, cities that have electricity do typically have modern items such as phones, televisions, computers, etc!

items as such are definitely considered a little more fancy and only for those who can really afford it! so, you're more likely to see electronic phones amongst those living within or close to the palace cities. as you go out further from the cities and into villages that don't have electricity, you would find much more traditional phones such as landlines.

that being said, definitely feel free to make social media posts for your muses! social media posts are definitely encouraged (just keep in mind not to spam and that they do not count towards activity checks). everyone can also definitely look forwards to seeing them incorporated in future tasks and events!

generally how do marriages happen in the kingdoms? are marriages eventually arranged depending on who's chosen to be king/queen? if so, are princess/princes discouraged from dating?

hi there!

generally marriages in the palace specifically are arranged! the kings and queens are definitely politically arranged marriages where the top two contenders that are considered best fit for the thrones will be put together. in these cases, the prince and princess in question do not get a say in who they do or don't want to marry at all.

in the case that a prince or princess is already married before they ascend the throne if chosen, their spouse will take the throne over with them. (which essentially means whoever would've been chosen to fill the other loses out!). and the reason some princes and princess will get married before rising to the throne is to practice building good relationships throughout the kingdoms.

as for those marriages, they are very half and half. sometimes it's because a prince and princess were successful in courting each other and no one has objections to them getting married. sometimes, the marriages are also for political reasons. however, there's a lot more leniency in those engagements falling through if a prince or princess strongly objects to it and has a good reason and the right support to have the engagement canceled.

otherwise, princes and princesses are not discouraged from dating although it's not something that's heavily encouraged or focused on considering that the king and queen get arranged together. so, it's in the frame set that princes and princesses should be building themselves for the throne, not who they want to rule alongside with.

what are the representative colors of each kingdom? does each kingdom have a crest/emblem?

we're sorry that it took so long for us to get back to you on this question! we were hoping to get more details for the rp lore to be prepared and doing a mass post so that is why we're answering this now!

the official colors of each kingdom all have TWO colors with gold being one of them. their individual corresponding colors are: hearts - deep dark red, clovers - deep navy blue, and spades - black.

as for emblems, we don't have anything super fancy or specific for them, but the corresponding crests on each icon can be considered stamps that they would use on general official documents or even wax seals!

with that, for any of our current of future members reading this ask, we will be making an announcement soon about a map and details about the countries regarding electricity and transportation as the countries are a hybrid of pre and post technological advancements.

maybe i have to read further, but i was wondering just how modern the world is considered? like, do knights use swords, or like? guns? i'm very interested in joining as a knight, so i was wondering what avenue to go down and what training then entails?

hello there~

the rp is currently set in modern times. however, the land and countries themselves are a hybrid between modern and older ways. for example, the palaces and center cities where palaces of each kingdom are located are definitely more modernized, having adapted to technology over the years. however, there are still parts of the palaces and country where technology is not fully integrated.

that considered, all the kingdom's do still carry heavy traditions and older values in regards to how they rule the countries, run court and the royal etiquette that is still present through all the kingdoms. this in turn applies to the knights as well.

on our knights page, there is a brief explanation on how knights are not regarded as militia as all three countries do maintain civil relations. the knights are more like police in terms of finding an equivalent to modern day systems. however, because the kingdoms run by older traditions, knights will carry weapons on their bodies depending on their rank and assignments. elite and private knights are allowed to carry small firearms on them at all times (should they opt out of a traditional sword) as usually they are working to guard the royal family members or carrying out secret orders.

first rank and second rank knights will only be allowed to carry firearms during events or when being sent to accompany and guard lower tiered prince and princesses out of country. otherwise, most of the time they will be carrying a lightweight sword if they choose to do so. with knight training, all knights will be capable and ready to fight physically without weapons, which is why having a weapon such as a sword is not a necessity. although there is a restriction on who can carry firearms at all times, all knights go through the same training. they are trained for firearms as well as traditional weapons during their training when entering the palaces to become official knights.

hey! sorry for this mess of a question, but i’ve never written in a royal group before and i have a couple curiosities 😅 first, do lower class families live within the kingdoms or somewhere outside of them? and what exactly classifies as a lower class family/what kind of work would they do?

oh no don't worry at all!! ask all the questions you need and want to!!

so with lower class families, they do live both within the kingdoms and outside of them. we don't have a direct image of what the fictional island country all these smaller countries of suits are split into so please bear with me as i try to elaborate them as best as possible! it anything, at best you can imagine the layout of the entire piece of land circularly. this is because each kingdom, within their own respective countries, can be reached within a half days travel from another kingdom.

the idea is that each country is relatively similar in size and at the center of all these kingdoms is the center of diamonds. the center of diamonds could really be considered it's own country if we were to label it specifically but it's really just a smaller version of what the kingdoms are like. and just like the distance that it takes to get from one kingdom to the next, it also takes the same amount of time to get to the center - thus it's name of 'center' and because it is the midpoint connecting all the kingdoms.

that went a little more into the layout (sorry!) but getting back to where these lower class families reside, they can reside within the kingdom cities and outside in smaller towns by the borders of these countries. these smaller towns all consist of lower class families because they are less modern and less adapted to technology. so unlike noble families and areas within the actual kingdom city, they don't exactly have the option to choose to adapt to modern technology.

as for classifying, considering the entire countries and kingdoms are pretty hybrid between modern age and traditions, lower class families are being identified as the working class! physical labor, shop owners, artisans, repair shops and families that aren't able to afford longterm educations for their children and earning less money than nobles. take into consideration like, even if their children were able to go to college and receive higher education, that would earn them good graces in building up their individual reputation, but that still wouldn't be enough to make them a noble.

nobles are older traditions and lower/working class families can make their way up to becoming nobles (for example nobles begin to acknowledge them as equals after years of networking and strategizing) but realistically it would be very difficult making that jump in status unless if they were marrying into a noble family.

hey there!

in each kingdom they live in palaces! i realize i've been using the terms castle and palaces interchangeably but they are quite different so i apologize for the confusion that may have caused!

each palace interior has different aesthetics but they are all heavily baroque styled. so for example, the spade's palace if heavily influenced by dark academia, the hearts palace with fairytale and light core vibes and as for the clover's palace it is definitely more colorful with it's celestial, mystical themes.

the kingdom pages offers an image on each kingdom to kind of give a vibe on the palaces. i do also want to mention that these palaces have been modified and refurnished through the years to adapt to modern technology so they have several rooms and amenities such as libraries, council rooms, ballrooms, gardens, kitchens, dining rooms, private tutoring rooms, training grounds, garages, bedrooms, etc. so although interior designs are much older and less modern, each palace has electricity throughout along with systems such as Wi-Fi and central heating and cooling.

hello!! yes, this is set in modern times (so social media is allowed) but with some traditional aspects still included like sword training, horseback riding, etiquette lessons, etc; things that you'd expect or imagine a royal to do! to answer your second question, things are also still formal in court. all of the kingdoms have adjusted and evolved over time to adapt to the changing times and new technology/advancements but there are some things they can't quite get rid of or change much, court being one of them!
