Former Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance, whose investigations of Donald Trump and the Trump Organization set the stage for eventual crim
Much like the mob, the Trump Organization is run by family members and loyalists who've been around for decades. Prosecutors want them to fl
The probe is “no longer purely civil in nature,” a spokesperson for state Attorney General Letitia James confirmed to POLITICO.
Until this week, the New York investigation of the business activities of the Trump Organization was focused on civil matters. According to the office of New York Attorney General Letitia James, the state’s highest ranking prosecutor, the Trump Organization is being investigated for criminal activities.
James’ inquiry started in 2019 after former Trump attorney Michael Cohen said in a congressional hearing that Trump had inflated the value of assets to banks to get better loans and insurance, while undervaluing them to cut his tax liability. Vance's investigation has also appeared to be focused on allegations from Cohen, who has also claimed Trump committed fraud while dealing with insurance companies, which Trump and the Trump Organization have denied.
James' office has focused on Trump properties that include the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago and 40 Wall Street in New York City.
James pledged to hold Trump accountable, and she spearheaded or joined into dozens of efforts to challenge the Trump administration on a number of issues when Trump was in office.
Trump is moving to New Jersey for the summer. That may not be such a great idea if he wants to avoid getting being hauled in front of a court in New York.
Potential extradition of Trump could be complicated, as Florida law allows Gov. Ron DeSantis, a prominent Trump ally, the ability to step in and investigate if anyone indicted “ought to be surrendered” for an out-of-state indictment. If Trump were at his golf club in Bedminster, N.J., when indicted, it would likely be different, as the state has laws similar to Florida’s on extradition but also has a Democratic governor.
Trump is safe in Florida where Trump ass-kisser Ron DeSantis is governor. But if Trump is indicted and then sets foot in a state where a Democrat is governor, he could quickly be arrested and sent to NY to face chargers. Two or three GOP governors are not terribly fond of Trump either.

Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance #LockHimUp
He’s going to prison, and for a long time. Good. But he got off on the most serious counts. Sorry (actually, not sorry): This isn’t good enough.
As soon as the verdict was handed down, everyone hailed it as a victory. Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance immediately held a press conference and began taking credit for the conviction, announcing that Harvey Weinstein had “finally been held accountable for the crimes he committed.”
You may remember Vance as the guy who decided not to prosecute Weinstein in 2015 when he was presented with a tape of Weinstein harassing an Italian model in a Manhattan hotel. But it’s five years later, and now Vance is no longer Mr. Friend of the Wealthy.
He’s turned over a new leaf, or conversely has realized that he can’t get away with “special treatment for the donor class” anymore. Whatever the reason, the guy who sought a reduced sex offender status for Jeffrey Epstein and failed to pursue criminal charges against the Trump kids is holding a press conference to celebrate his enormous prosecutorial victory.
If you’re able to vote against Cy Vance, please do...
Liberal DA claims ISIS behind concealed carry movement

Efforts to enact national concealed carry reciprocity are backed by the terrorist group ISIS, a New York City district attorney falsely claims.
“This bill is supported I am sure by ISIS,” Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance told radio host John Catsimatidis, referring to the “Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act.”
” I think Congress members have to think long and hard about whether they want to play into the hands of these terrorists . … You could get up in the morning in Manhattan, drive to Vermont, buy loaded weapons, and bring them back to New York by dinner [under the bill],” Vance said, The New York Post reports.
“So a guy from Idaho, where there is no permitting requirements whatsoever, could carry his gun into New York City loaded into Time Square,” Vance said on Catsimatidis’ program “The Cats Roundtable.” “If the law passes, there could be as many as 2 million more loaded guns coming into the city every year … and would increase the danger to our communities and to our cops .”
“Does anyone really think that the gun laws in West Virginia should be the same gun laws that apply in Washington Heights in Manhattan?” Vance asked.
The Constitution does not allow for local exemptions. Concealed carry reciprocity has nothing to do with gun sales in Vermont. Also, gun dealers do not sell “loaded weapons.”
Vance is the son of Cyrus Vance, Jimmy Carter’s Secretary of State, who pushed for closer relations with the Soviet Union. After his service as Secretary of State, Vance pushed for closer relations with the Iran.
Nobody wants the Trumps back in NYC. Well, there may be a MAGA neighborhood or two on Staten Island where they wouldn’t be pelted with rocks and garbage. But apart from that, they are generally regarded as personae non gratae.
Considering that Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance and New York State Attorney General Tish James are both rumored to be looking into the Trumps’ financial dealings, it’s probably in their best interest to stay in Florida under the political protection of bumbling authoritarian Gov. Ron DeSantis .
