Gregg Araki - Kaboom. Released in the last couple of years. All Araki films are pretty surreal. You can write about Serial Mom, Doom Generation and Nowhere. This would be the best essay ever.

ahhh thanks so much for these suggestions, im currently downloading things and trawling wikipedia for connections between films and directors and writers and stuff ive got a list of like 8 potential films now some of which ive seen and some of which i havent im actually looking forward 2 continuing this selection process cos of all the cool films im gonna have to watch !!

Desert Island Discs.

Been listening to a few of those desert island disc things on radio 4. Where they pick famous people and ask them to choose 6 songs, a book and 1 luxury item to take on a desert island by yourself forever. So i thought i'd have a pop.

Songs - (in no order):

1. Dark was the night - Cold was the Ground / Blind Willie Johnson

2. Dirty Old Town / The Pogues (Favourite)

3. Wish You Were Here - 2011 Remastered / Pink Floyd

4. Whiskey in The Jar / The Dubliners

5. Makthaverskan / Enough (I really couldn't think of a last one but this one always makes me happy because of memories n stuff)
