It’s a burden we have to bear.

@cybertronianskies A tegu is also super strong. Hmmm.
Without prior warning, the seeker scrambles up the shuttle's plating to perch herself on his shoulder with a happy chirp.
And without prior warning he is just reaching back an arm over said shoulder to pat the little medical parrot’s helm.
“Am I a pirate now?”

The doors to the medbay screeched open, their normal programming having been overridden in order to force them to move faster. Soundwave sped through before they’d even slammed to a stop, the broken form of his symbiote cradled in his arms. Or well, arm; his left arm was by his side, useless and motionless as energon trickled down the plating and dripped from the still digits. His entire frame was more or less covered in energon, as was the frail form held securely against his chest. You couldn’t tell where deployer stopped and symbiote started, couldn’t tell what energon came from her frame and which came from his. Normally, there was no difference. Normally, it didn’t matter.
Without even looking around himself or even pausing, Soundwave swiftly stalked in, placing Laserbeak gently on the nearest free surface. Her small tendrils were tangled up in his feelers in a way reminiscent of how someone drowning might cling to a safety ring, and Soundwave returned the hold in kind, constantly touching her in some way, even as he moved his feelers and his good arm. Already, electricity was crackling to life from the ends of his feelers, Soundwave moving swiftly to cauterize the open energon lines where the plating was torn to shreds on his symbiote. He knew enough to do field repairs, he could stop her from bleeding out, but the finer repairs required a medic. Yet there wasn’t yet a medic working on Laserbeak and stopping her pain, and to Soundwave, that was unacceptable.
:“Medic. Here. NOW.”:
When he barked the command, it was impossible to tell if he was using a recording or the comm system, the words sounding impossibly loud, yet laced with static as if they had been played through a loudspeaker of poor quality. Surely, someone were in the medbay to hear him, right?
Right?

Flight deck giving a soft shudder as the shuttle found his perch, and call of a force of habit, but the merc was always up before dawn. Before most people, actually. His day was filled from the moment everyone rose to the moment they offlined optics for recharge with orders and sound and combat, his moments of peace were the colourful ‘witching hours’ of dawn before first mech rolled out of berth for a ration like the one in his servo to sip.
So, to spot the little aerial ambulance dropping in and out of clouds in his peripheral was causing him to turn his helm slightly every time that stark neon green broke through clouds. It wasn’t organic, nor Autobot, so he wouldn’t open fire as his contract instructed, didn’t mean he wouldn’t just let them go ignored. Nothing stopping this gaggle of Con’s turning on each other for a change in rank...

Soundwave had been busy lately, and evaluating Evac hadn’t been given the highest priority for him. However, she was a newcomer, and as such he more or less considered it his duty to personally asses her and... welcome her to the crew. Odd as that welcome might be.
He didn’t want to slip into medbay to meet her, though. Lord Megatron had made her Pharma’s assistant, and as promised, Soundwave kept his distance from the jet. Instead, he intercepted Evac in the hallways - in his case, this mean he stepped out in front of her, tilted his screen down to regard her, and nodded in greeting.

Good, now go sanitize your servos. Who knows where that thing has been...
“You don’t think I know what to do?! I’m a medic!” Though maybe he’ll just remove his servos altogether...
