The loss of his symbiotes. The pain of the severed bonds hasn’t lessened in the slightest, and sometimes, Soundwave cannot stop himself from wondering if he could have saved them. He will go back through the battles, looking over the logs and reports, his own memory files, and force himself to review the last data he received from his symbiotes before they were offlined. He will repeatedly analyze their last moments, picking each second apart to see if he in any way could have planned against it, could have kept it from happening.
They gave their sparks for the Decepticon cause. Soundwave himself would gladly do the same for his lord. But he cannot keep from asking himself if it could have been avoided.
