A tale of two techs: @cyberxbun‘s Kael of Covenant co. and Last Eclipse team and my Ikaros from one of my merc units, Strida**. I consider this to be one of the more serious analogue pieces, especially with the dark undertones of abuse and trauma that haunt their pasts. Kael had his antlers cuts off during a civil war era -- ones that will never grow back -- and Ikaros’ childhood is filled with all sorts of unspeakable horrors of manipulation, physical/sexual abuse, etc. As seemingly invisible individuals in a world of battle and power struggles, they seek to contribute to a cause they believe in to the upmost of their abilities...abilities that may one day shift a delicate balance....[2/5]
**Ok so they were called Olympus Knights for the longest time as an ironic joke that stuck, even more so when simply abbreviated to O.K.. But after some serious development and consideration I’ve renamed them to Strida -- taking the Swedish definition of the word ‘to fight, be in conflict (with rule), or to contradict’. On that note I may even rebrand A2029 into something else more suitable, but for now the main name will stay.
Also, alternate (or maybe even og) hair color for Ikaros because my boy’s been through a lot and (1) his hair prematurely lost some color over the years or (2) he can just pull off any hair color (which sounds like a more light-hearted idea if he wasn’t one of the most traumatized characters in the story :’)).
Ah yes, Nico and @cyberxbun’s Tepes. The wild cards. While their personalities couldn’t be more far apart, their ‘live by my own rules’ streak puts them in the same lane. Tepes is a real life lorikeet - color personified, an open book, and sociable to the max. Nico methodically blends into her surroundings and changes roles as she pleases. Her restrained personality and obscure intentions often gets her into misunderstandings though… [3/5]
