Behind the Brand : CYCLE DOG
Lanette Fidrych, an avid bike rider, had many flat tires over the years. Instead of piling these harmful tubes in the landfill, she began making dog collars and leashes out of them. This smart idea led her to create Cycle Dog in 2009.
Since then, Cycle Dog has grown to take shelf in over 500 retail locations with other cyclists and companies alike sending her their old bicycle tubes so they too stay out of the landfill. Each collar and leash is handmade by Lanette and contains a bottle opener she named The Pup Top so man’s best friend can be there for you when you need a beer too. Last year, the ever-crafty Lanette added belts to her product line. We look forward to seeing what else Lanette has in store for us and our pets in the future.
