One last burst of pain. Xelqua’s face feels like it’s been doused with oil and set on fire. He can feel the slick blood on his fingers and dripping down his face. The edges of light, like sparks in his brain, piercing in through the unsealed mask. Not important. He’s already written out all the code he needs, lining them up with shaky movements. One last sweep, check who’s closest to you. They’re far enough. He’s been planning this for so long, convincing himself to continue over and over and yet doubts still flood his mind. But he’s already started, there’s no explaining what he’s doing. Timer starts now. The portal opens and he’s hit with that same feeling. Except this time, he listens. Run run run RUN! Xelqua jumps through, rips off his mask, and it goes violently white. A ringing so harsh it leaves him gaping. Then a rush of air. Stunned he continues to pick up speed, wings and tail uselessly fluttering before his intstincts finally kick in. His wings snap open, stomach dropping, but is he up? Down? Close to hitting?- The ground may as well have hit him before the thought could finish. Tumbling forward with a sharp CRACK before he’s met with darkness.

how did you come up with that awesome grian design- the wings the eye the ears the way you draw the tail....

Hihi! Thank you for your ask!!

Basically, my Ideas 😋 :

This design is actually his full hybrid form! The wings along with the ears, eye, and tail, have what I would call Watcher code/energy flowing through them constantly. Without it, the eye would close and his hybrid features would be white as snow

Code Alteration :

On both his arms and legs he has code alteration. This is something that slowly appears as he was trained to be a Watcher and is one of the permanent effects on his body. For my au and many others I’ve seen, Watchers can manipulate code. But since players are not meant to be Watchers, the ways they trained Grian impacted his physical and mental abilities. If Grian isn’t hiding this skin alteration he could accidentally enter something (or someone’s) code.
