First off, thank you for taking time out of your day to read.

It’s another month, and a fresh set of shenanigans.
The month began with me finding out that I would have to get the light bill switched over, which was going to require $120 bucks. Cool-cool, I thought, panicking in my mind as I realized I was going to have to raise that money very fast or face the streets potentially. Well, we pulled it off, and then we come to find out that there needs to be an inspection before the switch can be done…and that’d require another $75 out of pocket immediately.
With the grace of some very special people, those goals were met, and now I’m waiting for an inspection that needs to honestly hurry up and happen, as the waiting is giving me such anxiety that my bad skin-picking habits are back and I’m developing blisters on my palms and legs.
On the disability filing front: the other day, at one of my appointments, we made a surprising discovery: some of my medical records, important ones that go back to 2012 and are relevant to my case, are nowhere to be found. We suspect that there was just a hiccup in the process transferring me between medical care systems—the provider that was treating me back then isn’t the one that I’m going through for my current care, and I don’t know if the systems just didn’ talk to each other or what. My next appointment is going to be reconstructing my records for my case.
Today I woke up and sat down, to do the budget that’s coming up. As it turns out, August is going to be the most brutal month of the year: the membership for my Walmart+ is coming due, and the phone bill, for three months of service, is also coming due, on top of the fact that this month will probably mean that the light bill is on me rather than the arrangement that has been the case for the last two years (communication isn’t working on that end, and I’m trying to get information, but if they don’t answer my messages, then there’s going to be a problem there).
It was about an hour of doing math, juggling the numbers around, and trying to figure out what could wait and what has to be immediately done. It took three sheets for me to figure the total goal needed was 352—a little over the usual target that would get me through the month in the past, yeah.
It's a little more than usual because this upcoming month has the Walmart+ membership and the phone bill (three months of service) attached to it. Switching my plan has reduced my overall expenses, thankfully, as well as taking a hit on how much data I have on my Tab, so there’s that.
