went to my first sca event in ages. not only survived but! saw several old friends AND got to pet and/or hold:
2 baby bunnies
2 eight month old puppies, each approximately the size of a loaf of bread
1 three month old puppy approximately the size of a toddler
an extremely baby kitten
farm husband enjoyed the experience of his first event, holding baby bunnies while wearing a tunic that's probably older than either of us.
I'm glad there were known quantities to gravitate towards. I've never done sca without at least my dad, and more usually a household. It was unnerving to walk up in my haphazard half-assed garb, not knowing where to go!
it was good. I missed the sca.
