“Ancestors Willing, young dragons, we will keep our traditions alive-or die trying!” Cyril strikes me as a very traditional dragon who cares a lot about history and culture, and sees it as his duty to teach the young’uns how to be proper dragons. He sees this as especially urgent now that the only two survivors of the Year of the Dragon massacre are under his charge. History, etiquette, ethics, epic poetry, all of it falls under his domain. He was an archivist at one point, and a feral academic just like his husband Volteer, and can tell you almost anything about history you might want to know. He suffers from “academia-itis”, however, so watch out. Cyril is the strictest of the Guardians, parenting-style wise, but his stuffy exterior hides a tender heart. He is the best at telling stories out of the four. Cyril is somewhat frustrated at the other Guardians’ prioritization of practical knowledge on things such as fighting at the expense of Spyro and Cynder’s social education, and worries about them having trouble integrating with mainstream dragon society after (if) the war is over.
