At The Temple Library
(This was finished before this year started)
So I had the opportunity to contribute to Convexity Studios New Years Spyro Fanfic Video. I did a scene where Spyro, Cynder, and Sparx meet up with Volteer in the library in the Dragon Temple. Was really happy to contribute to a video
Oh yeah I never shared my Spyro infection au here o: I call it The Dark Aether Plague
Young Ignitus, Cyril, Volteer and Terrador for the Smaugust challenge back in 2023.
for my semi-yearly replay of TLoS a new beginning, my bestie and i decided to texture hack it for fun. we ended up trying to come up with designs for my AU (https://thelegendoffireandice.tumblr.com/)... @shiftingshade made the textures with guidance from me (tho cyril's design was 100% them)
i'll post more screenshots once we get some of cynder :D
I’ll look into drawing Malefor later. Probably add my two OCs when I get there. Head canons below the cut.
Felt like drawing on paper again (while Volteer has been living in my head for a bit)
My vision of Cho-Lei how she may be seen in The Legend of Spyro series. And one of so rare female dragons in the series... In appearance she is so close to Volteer, so I decided to make her an electric dragoness and his sister (so I gave her some of his visual traits). But I think, Wind element also fits her well. Probably. I also make her a dragon name in The Legend of Spyro style, but make it sound close to original one. Possible Tomas will take the Wind element, if I will not decide to change that. Cho-Lei (as Charai) will be featured in my planned comics, and will appear in the first chapter. Name: Charai Aliases: Cho-Lei Age: Adult Gender: Female Species: Dragon Element: Electricity Occupation: Elder in Warfang, magic instructor Biography: Charai is the youngest sister famous Guardian of Electricity, the Volteer, but they rarely interact. Charai was gifted in magic since her hatching and developed her magical abilities in the young age. Her talent was seen and she becomes youngest dragon Elder in Warfang. Sometimes she is seen mentoring a new generations of dragons in dragon temple in arts of magic. Personality: As an Elder, Charai is expected to be a font of wisdom and serenity, and she takes this role seriously, speaking with authority about magical theory and acted as mentor to new generation of dragons. She is patient, warm and encouraging teacher, capable to breaking down even the complex spells to the most students. As a mentor, she is enthusiastic, and passionate about the magical arts. And she takes a joy, seeing her students successes, sometimes with a touch of dramatic flair. Charai personality wasn't forged in the great wars like the others and hasn't lived for centuries and when facing real existential danger, where her powers can be not good enough, or facing creatures of darkness, her composure may shatter and she can be overwhelmed by anxiety and panic attacks. In her life, outside her duties, Charai is more scholarly dragoness, who spends her time among the books, rather than a companies of other dragons. Charai has a habit to use her magic in day-to-day life to fetch things rather than getting up - books, tea, blankets - which sometimes can lead into accidents, if she got distracted and lost her focus. Relationships:
Other Elders: she respects them as her mentors and colleagues, but often advocating more progressive and compassionate approaches. Sometimes their relationship may be strained, yet they share a deep mutual respect.
Volteer: her brother. They rarely interact with each other. But she's the one of few who can actually listen to his rambling without being exhausted.
Cyril: complicated relationship. He was one of the most vocal opponent of her ascension in such young age, and while he accepted it, some tension still remains. She responds by being overly, almost aggressively polite to him, which somehow annoys him more than if she were rude.
Dragon students: this is where Charai shines. She doesn't talk down to them. If dragonet asks a 'silly' question, she answers it. If student meet difficulties in control of their magic or elemental abilities, she is ready to help and share her own experience.
Spyro: she is facinated by his heroics, powers and talnets, and gladly teach him several times they meet. She would like to learn more about his Aether element, when she will have a more time. And Charai often worries about Spyro, seeing in him a reflection of her own burden of being special before you're ready.
