Casio CZ-1000
Casio CZ synthesizers
Also I've had a Korg Electribe 2S for ages now but have never really shown it off. Haven't used it much except for recently when I started learning how to use it as a hardware MIDI sequencer. Something it's actually pretty fucking good at.
So what does a husky like me do? Pair it up with my recently acquired Casio CZ-1000 and experiment of course!
Welp, my random assortment of synths and drum machines grows even larger. Since now as of yesterday I own a Casio CZ-1000! Because yes children, Casio actually made proper synthesizers and not just cheesy toy keyboards and watches.
But yes! Thanks to a guy on Craigslist that I bought this from, I finally have one of the CZ-series of digital synthesizers that Casio put out in the mid-1980's. They're an interesting series since they used Casio's proprietary "Phase Distortion" synthesis. Which is actually a very interesting and weird form of synthesis since it focuses on manipulation of envelopes (that can be up to 8 friggin steps!) in a more analog subtractive synthesis sort of manner. And I can actually wrap my head around it somewhat! Unlike fucking FM synthesis...
So yeah. TL;DR I got a Casio CZ-1000 from the 80's. And it's rad.

So I decided to muck around with my CZ-1000 for a little bit and while fiddling around with one of the presets and modifying it I discovered I had made random 80′s-ish soundtrack music. So I recorded a little. For funsies!
