My mom loves duck's blood soup and has this old-fashioned wooden magnet with a smiling duck that says "I <3 czernina!" which hangs in our kitchen by the back door and I want to laugh every time I look at it. That duck is so happy that you're draining it of its blood. I think that duck wants to be a vampire

Happiness be NATIONAL Pierogi Day 2018 been a few years got a plate of 6 house made Pan Fried Pierogi half Farmers Cheese n Tater Bacon Cheese with Grilled Onions, Sour Cream n Apple Sauce OMG absolutely best outside Hamtramck. 30 years now packing them in, our waitress 30 years can out run many 20 year old girls. She handling like 40 dining in at once WOWED. Yes they always short handed no big deal just can't find help today. Polish food at it's best !!!!!!!! For real Polish food Polonus is the real deal. The food is great and the prices don't break your wallet. Love the Dill Pickle Soup and Duck Blood Soup Czernina which has Noodles, Prunes n Raisins absolutely my favorite of all time, always start with a bowl. I would recommend the combination platter that way you get a little taste of everything and yes there is a Polish grandma cooking in the kitchen. A very sweet and kind lady! Wife had City Chicken, Stuffed Cabbage, Noodles and Kielbasa spot on delicious. We been regular customers 25 years, why drive to Hamtramck this absolutely outstanding authentic beautiful decorative interesting interior, got Polish Wine's, Beer's n Spirit's how cool.
