Recently I watched the finale of The Amazing Digital Circus and got so inspired to do a crossover art piece of the characters from my story as the cast of the show.
I have been writing my story since 2018 and even from back then I have written Shlyapin to be VERY Kinger coded. That was way before Kinger even existed on our screens! Shlyapin is spaced out, easily startled and tends to be in his own head almost all the time. He also...may or may not...be grieving the loss of someone significant...and that is a big plot point in the story.... 👀 When I first saw Kinger's character in the show, I was so shocked at the similarities!
As for the others, there aren't as similar as Shlyapin and Kinger, however there are some traits that they share, like Pomni and Zimov being big problem solvers, Ragatha and Papirosna being the kind-hearted "moms" of the group, Zooble and Petrov being sassy and argumentative.
Now...for Caine and Tumanich...well, I would say that Tumanich does have the outward theatricality and the charisma of our favorite ringmaster, but deep down, Tumanich may be more similar to Caine's inspiration - AM. 👀👀👀 Take that information as you will...😏
You can also watch this short on my YouTube channel - DrasCOOL, in which I share some of my thoughts on the finale along side a SpeedPaint of this exact drawing. 👀
I might make a full review video in the future, so if you are interested, stay tuned for that.
Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Fan art for @comradezimovsmurdermysteries / @vranelartbg !! Zimov is definitely my favourite character from their story, Comrade Zimov's Murder Mysteries, which I'm finding incredibly interesting so far! I'm excited to see where they take it in the future! 🫶
You know what’s better than one aromantic-asexual raven boi? Two aromantic-asexual raven bois 😌🐦⬛♠️
Left is Adrien Neil Inguerand, who belongs to @inconspicuous-raven and to the right is Alexander Alexeyevich Zimov belonging to @vranelartbg/@comradezimovsmurdermysteries! Both are very good friends of mine and I HIGHLY recommend following them and checking out their work. 💜💚
Knowing IR before knowing Vranel, when I saw Zimov for the first time and saw he had both raven symbolism AND was aroace, I was like, “That’s Neil! That’s just like Neil!!” I knew I eventually had to draw these two together and the day has finally come 😤
By the way, there is another future post that will be coming out soon! One that I’m VERY excited to finish…! 👀
Translating the messages in @comradezimovsmurdermysteries's latest post
So today is Zimov's birthday! 🎂🎂🎂 And if you don't know who Zimov is....first of all how dare you! He is an incredible character by the amazing @vranelartbg. The main character in their story "Comrade Zimov's Murder Mystery". They have a whole blog about it - @comradezimovsmurdermysteries. Go check it out, it's awesome!
And today they posted this amazing drawing for Zimov's birthday:

Obviously, looking at it, there was A LOT! Hidden messages, theory potential, and I have to say, between this, the video on YouTube (check it out, it's AMSOME!) and @the-revolutionary's latest cipher... you guys aren't giving me a break, damn! 😭😭😭
Speaking of @the-revolutionary, that is another incredible creator with an incredible and so well thought out story that also puts mysteries and codes into their work. So if you are a fan of that, GO SUPPORT them too!
Because here is the thing! They beat me to it! They made part 1 of a theory for the drawing and it's BRILLIANT! I love the way they pieced together the given clues and I agree with most of the things they said. Please check out their post:

Now, one thing they expressed as a setback was that they are not that fluent with Russian and that they used a translator for the text. Also the brigthness of the image, but in this area they have the advantage because they probably have more advanced photo editing software and I only have Paint. 😂😂😂
BUT, fear not, I am here to help with the Russian, because first, I had studied Russian for four years in school (and have continued to self learn after that, which doesn't make me an expert, but I am confident in my understanding of the language) and second, I've known Vranel for a long time, so I am used to their atrocious handwriting. Btw, fun fact, in Bulgaria when someone has very bad and unreadable handwriting, we say that their words are "crows" (Какви са тези гарги?). On theme, on theme!
Anyway, let's make Miss Petrova proud!
I am going to give you here only the translations, because I am actually very interested in what @weepingnoor has to say in their part 2 and after that I will give my thoughts. Also apologies if there are spelling mistakes.
Here it is interesting, because this looks like that old timey villanous way of sending the detective a letter that is composed of different letters from a newspapper cut to form a message. So cool!
Also I find it funny that all Zimov has to say to this is that Tumanich is not his favorite. 😂
Here there is nothing else than the name of the newspapper - "Red star" and the word "order". Order as in command, like in the army.
Here this one is in German and I admit, I don't know German. So here I used Google translate, so apologies if it's incorrect. But my boy Wolff makes a come back! Ha!
So, under @comradezimovsmurdermysteries 's latest post, @illustrossi and I had an interesting conversation about what type of bird my man would be. Acording to her, he would be a secretarybird, or as she put it - a Reichsmarschallbird. I searched up this bird (the secretary one, not the Reichsmarschall one) and let me tell you.... this bird is a diva! 💅💅💅 Absolutely same vibes as my man.
Zimov has such interesting design. He looks kind of Aisan to me (I am sorry if I got it wrong), but you say he comes from Siberia. Can you say more about his background?
Thank you so much for the interest in Zimov! He is honestly my most favorite character in the story (I mean, obviously, I made him the main character after all).
Zimov does have Asian roots. While researching the USSR, I got really invested in the indigenous people of the Siberian region. The Itelmen and the Chukchi people were especially interesting to me, because of their ties to nature, their spirituality and mythologies.
I took the images from Google.
As I said it in my main profile - my favorite animals are crows and ravens. Well, it turns out that in the mythology of the Itelmens there is a Raven spirit named Kutkh. Kutkh is a very intriguing character with appearances in many contradictory myths. He is often portrait as the creator of the world and yet also a laughing-stock and a trickster. He immediately became one of my favorite mythology figures and a new hyper focus.
The images are from Google. The first is the cover of the book "Raven Kutkh" by Publishing house "Malysh" ("Ворон Кутх" Издательства "Малыш"). The middle one is an illustration from the book "Fairy tales of the peoples of the North" compiled by V. Vinokurova, Yu. Sem ("Сказки народов Севера" Составители: В. Винокурова, Ю. Сем). The last one is an illustration from the book by Georgy Menovshchikov - "Travels of the Raven Kutkh in the Northern Countries" (Георгий Меновщиков - "Путешествия ворона Кутха по северным странам").
Because of that, I wanted Zimov to have roots that tie him to this Raven spirit. For the purposes of my story, I made up a Siberian tribe that is inspired by the Itelmen and the Chukchi people. Zimov’s mother comes from that tribe and has passed down the ties to the mystical world and her more spiritual nature to her son.
This was....chaos. I wanted to do something fun for Tumanich today, since his first name is Ivan, but I did it last moment yesterday and it kept evolving into madness. You can thank this wonderful YouTuber for making a short about this scene in Chicken Little and getting it stuck in my head for days!
