on one hand, if vampires (and spawn) are just built to rip and drain, then no probably not. if you somehow survive a vampire bite you’re still going to get flesh rot and fucking die. on the other hand, if they’re meant to keep people alive as a steady food source, then they’d have to have some form of wound care built in so that their beloved buffet doesn’t die from all the bacteria living in their corpse. on the third hand (which i’m borrowing from someone else don’t ask), the idea of a first hand vampire just furiously brushing their teeth to try not to kill their SO with sepsis is infinitely funny to me
