Best Curse Word Tournament!
Round 1
niquer
D'Arvit
niquer (French) /ni.ke/ to fuck, deceive, break, or destroy
D'Arvit (Gnommish; fandom) No IPA a curse word from the fictional language Gnommish from the Artemis Fowl series
it feels cool saying d'arvit. fairy curse words are cool. people should read artemis fowl.
Studies have shown that swearing increases pain tolerance. D’you reckon it’d work with D’ARVIT?!
Badassery starts with B, not D.
D’arvit
Really wished people hadn’t insisted on telling me over and over how bad the Artemis Fowl Disney movie is, ESPECIALLY the people admitting to not even have watched it and still needed to share a third party’s words to someone else.
Of course it was gonna be bad, but I still wanted to watch it with a neutral expectation. Really all I wanted was to enjoy someone’s interpretation and pretty visuals. Most of the fun is the visuals, to see how something so far only in our imagination brought to reality on the screen.
Yes, the movie was indeed bad, but now I can’t trust if it’s my own opinion on it,because hating on it had been popularized and jammed so much down my throat.
Soured my enjoyment of the visuals, unsure if I genuinely hate the terrible story telling or was pushed to do so.
Except one thing, I gotta say. Feck Disney’s hard-on for the dead mom trope! There were absolutely NO reason for that in this one, whether or not they followed the book or bastardized the story as much as they did in this one. Geez!!
Artemis, do you swear?
Artemis: Spell 'genius'
Person: "G-E-N-I-U-S"
Artemis: Wrong! It's A-R-T-E-M-I-S!
