D.Fine is from Bordeaux in southern France and he is part of a new breed of French producers that doesn’t seem too concerned with the classic sounding French house scene from the 90’s but instead takes cues and inspirations from other parts of the world such as the UK dance music scene and Detroit techno. We at Discobelle Records are proud to present his EP ”Fall”. The EP kicks off with the title track in which an infectious vocal sample rides a playful headbobbing 808 beat interspersed with subtle hi-hats and handclaps. The second track ”I Don’t” swerves towards a bit of darker ride, the beat is crunchier while the diamondsharp and spaced out synths glimmer well into the night. The final track ”Silly Eyes” gives us more of a classic sounding, housier affair in which an urging female vocal sample amidst a steadfast beat and a deep bass takes us towards the dancefloor.
