I have the vaguest idea of what psychological war crimes Owain has committed against Nom and 4C, but the vibe I'm getting is that he's so consumed by his own regrets and failings that he projects onto other people and blames them for it just like he blames himself. (which doesn't justify it, ofc)

All I can think of is v!Owen, and his projection of his self-loathing and grief onto the coven. And I think most of us know how that ended for him.
