MOS redesign proof of concept

hey I'm drawing again!

as the tittle says, this is not the decided redesign, only a proof of concept. I still have a lot of development planned, such as incorporating more white web markings into the suit.

a big feature of his character is balancing his comfort and humanity with his powers and... spider-ness. he can't go too much one way or the other, so he gradually pushes his limits by increasing the suits number of eyes, weapons, and arms, until it becomes too overwhelming. I'm also using tears in the suit for some werewolf-like imagery to illustrate this further.

revisiting da2 and observing merril and fenris's interactions reinforced my love for davrin and bellara's friendship. it somehow feels so refreshing to have two dalish elves who chose very different paths in life but still respect and treat each other with kindness. while both merrill and fenris are great characters on their own and i found so much love and respect for merrill specifically after replaying the game (she was mistreated not only by her "friends" but also the fandom horribly back then), i still prefer davrin and bellara. there's many things i think veilguard did better than the previous games, but to me personally their friendship is one of the shining examples 💜

Sputtered choking answered Tamlen and he felt red creep up his neck as Mara stared at him in shock, water dribbling down her chin.

"You want to what?"

He refused to look at her. "I don't have to repeat myself you heard me."

"Tamlen!" Mara exclaimed quietly, dropping her cup and grabbing his arm. The red had taken over his neck and now tipped his ears. She shook him lightly, frantically. "Who!? Zevran!?"

"Absolutely not!" Tamlen hissed, his whole face flushed now. "I'd rather gargle darkspawn blood again then place my lips on him."

"Then who would you even be thinking of--" She broke off as she followed his gaze...

To their fellow Grey Warden, shirtless, sweating, sword fighting with Sten in the middle of the camp. Alistair's tanned, muscled form gleamed in the sunlight as he went back and forth with Sten, grunting from a particular hard hit from the quanari. Sten stopped the practice, moving forward to give Alistair pointers. Alistair leaned in to listen, watching attentively at Sten's movements, his chest heaving slightly from the exercise.

"Tamlen..."

"Shut up, Mara, I don't want to hear it."

"Tamlen."

"I said--"

"I want to kiss him too."

Tamlen whipped his head around. Mara met his gaze with a wild grin, her own flush high on her cheeks.

"Well, damn." Tamlen whispered, wishing he felt conflicted, but found that his own smile was forming.

"So..." Mara hedged with a mischievous tilt of her head. "Are you going to ask him to our tent or me?"

"Creator's, Mara," Tamlen laughed, covering his face.

"You then? Got it!" She twisted away from him as he swung to smack her, rolling away and standing in one graceful move. Mara winked at him."I'll even let you get the first kiss."

6. Who will they take advice from, no matter what it is? Who won’t they take advice from, no matter what it is?

Leeva will always listen to Ashalle no matter what; she is their mother and Leeva loves her more than anything (some of the more usual parent-child issues notwithstanding). on the flipside, Leeva has inherited my personal hatred of Arl Eamon and thinks he’s full of it, even for a shem. they do not care for him in the slightest.

Leeva says: “Ah... a hunter?” 

15. What would they consider a waste of time– other than school or work?

events where you network. Leeva does get why it’s a thing, why you need to do that sometimes, but they’re not the best at talking and they’re very much an actions over words person. stuff that nobles do for fun (they’d hate tea parties or whatever). nobles in general are a waste of time.
