Almost 30 years later, Hov finally put out the explicit version of Streets Is Watching a month ago, and I didn't find out until a couple of days ago.
Originally, Labi Siffre did not want to clear the sample for Streets Is Watching unless Hov removed the profanity in the song. I wonder what made him change his mind all of a sudden. Could it be money? The power Hov gained in the industry since 1997? Or was he aware that Hov was celebrating the 30th anniversary of his career this year? Either way, I'm glad it happened.
