Makenna stretched out on the chaise, taking care to let the butter-yellow sundress ride up her thighs as she fixed her eyes on the side of Solas’ face. A romance book with a well-worn spine was affixed in her hand but she had stopped reading several minutes ago. She rolled the words around in her mind once more. A well-rehearsed script that she had practiced with herself in front of a mirror and also with Raina playing the part of Solas. The latter caused the two to break out into a fit of laughter and they couldn’t finish with a straight face. Makenna would start with the script, if that didn’t work, well, there were other uses for her mouth that might get him to agree.
“No,” he said, not looking up from thick stack of documents in front of him.
“I didn’t even ask anything yet,” she huffed.

She ends up taking residence in a cabin in the Korcari Wilds, a place of power where the Fade is unnaturally thin. There she can continue her studies of her Eluvian in peace, waiting for her lover to return to her in one year's time. Her fragile existence is disrupted however, when a half dead shapechanger stumbles into her life.
It has been eight years since the fall of the Archdragon at Alistair's hand, and Morrigan has spent that time aimless and wandering. Her travels have brought her to lands untrodden and realms unknown, but no matter the distraction, the ache from the bitter end to her relationship with the Warden never dulls. Now back in Thedas, Morrigan resolves to visit her childhood home one last time, before departing for better fortunes. It is to her surprise then, to find someone already living in it.

But she holds her tongue as she lets him continue, his eyes still seeking something out beyond her. “And when we first met. Probably just this,” he says, waving one hand in the air to indicate the Calling, yes, but something more than that, perhaps. The mist in the air and the completely fucked situation he doesn’t even know about. He trails off then, and she feels a twinge of disappointment as they continue walking.
“I am sorry I called you an awful person,” he says at last. “But I did mean it.”
She touches a hand to her collarbone in thought. And finally, she smiles.
During the false Calling, Vigil’s Keep is closed off and turns into somewhat of a haunted house.
