So now that we got Maul doing tea ceremonies he is definitely making sure the tomatoes know how to properly brew tea and serve their guests.
It’s a tad hard when your guests keep insisting there needs to be more sweet treats and also more sugar.

If you’re still taking Maul requests I’d love your take on Rylee and reluctant dad Maul!
Absolutely I am! (You're my first actually so congrats!) I hope you enjoy, and if you want more don't be afraid to ask!!!
~*~*~*~
Reluctant dad!Maul would basically only tolerate Rylee because Devon wouldn't listen to him otherwise, and Maul is unfortunately bound to this sassy ass teenager whether he likes it or not now.
He would get really frustrated with Rylee probably because being a teenage boy, Rylee would try and copy/learn what Maul is teaching Devon, thinking that it's pretty cool, that it'd be useful if he was strong and awesome like Devon.
There would be a lot of Devon and Rylee just hanging out and Maul kinda supervising for no other reason than he has no other friends really except these two right now. And slowly, Maul recognizes that Rylee is just as confused as he once had been, just trying to get through each day, trying not to think about his (questionably) dead dad.
And then there would be a moment where they need to run for their lives or something, and Maul sees Rylee trip. And even though he rolls his eyes and growls the entire way, Maul scoops that idiot kid up anyway and saves his ass.
Being raised well, Rylee would thank Maul, much to Maul's surprise. He doesn't try to hide how much he thinks this boy is just dead weight and a crutch for Devon, so it does kinda mean something when Rylee is still kind to him. And Devon notices, she sees that Maul, for all his hard exterior, he still does the right thing every now and then.
She appreciates Maul's actions, and she tells him as much, that he would make sure her friend is safe. Maul feels pride at that, and he realizes that Devon being happy with him is a much easier apprentice to handle.
So he tries. It goes fucking awful at first, he's awkward and off-putting, but eventually he stops instantly dismissing Rylee or putting him beneath him and Devon because he isn't a Force wielder. He even gives him a few tips of hand-to-hand fighting because that's all he can really teach a regular person. Later, Maul sees Rylee showing off what he taught him to Devon (again teenage boy).
Maul carries Rylee around because it makes Devon happy, but eventually he finds that the boy is tolerable. If the cost of a willing and spirited apprentice is this kid bugging the hell out of him with his normalcy, that's a damn good deal.
And when Rylee and Devon team up on him, he does crumble and take them to a space lacrosse game, miserable the entire time, but he does it.

With the new Maul series that means I get more info for my au…
This definitely means Maul’s absences start early after the rise of the Empire. Starlight and the little twins shipped off world somewhere safe and far from Maul.
Starlight upset when the Mandalorians cannot provide more information about Maul’s whereabouts.
“Is he even alive?” The question slips from their lips. It’s been weeks since they were given even a scrap of information.
The Mandalorians don’t answer. Starlight tries to keep busy, mending clothes and trying to keep the little ones at ease.
They too ask about Maul. Aster misses him and waits patiently at the loading dock. Cress cries at night trying to find him.
Starlight can give them no other answers beyond “He will be back soon. We need to be patient.”
Were they giving false hope? Was Maul dead somewhere? The last time they spoke Maul was raging away from the star cruiser with a promise to contact them….the line had gone dead after
Starlight waited until the twins were asleep before burying their face in one of the tunics they had smuggled out during their escape. The scent of Cassian tea was very faint now….soon it would fade completely. Starlight covers their mouth as they sob as quietly as they could.
Where was Maul?
So we see in Rebels that Maul programmed some droids to capture the Ghost crew so as always I gotta use that and add it to the terrors.
Cress and Dani would more than certainly learn how to tinker with droids and other machinery. Maul teaching Cress and later Dani and then Cress helping Dani with her little projects.
They expand from droids, discovering old radios and cress trying his all to get a working one up and running for him and the cousins.
Glimpses of the galaxy from their isolated Dathomir. News. Music. Snippets of the Empire…then one day as Cress is fiddling with the channels he hears a distressed call. Desperate cries for help. A place called Ghorman. The cousins look at another horrified. Aster tries to cover Dani’s ears but the youngest won’t have it.
“What’s a massacre?”
Before one of them could answer the radio goes silent.
“That’s enough.” Maul says it only once. Eyes glowing bright and eyeing the group.
“There are people out there…” Cress whispers.
“And you know very well what they would do to people such as us, Cress. You know enough of the outside to know what the Empire will do. I want no more of this device of yours. Understood?”
Cress could feel his protest die on his lips, “ Yes Father…”
Aster and the cousins make their way out. Little Danica looking back confused, her question again echoing, “ what’s a massacre?”

Spoiler Alert for Maul:Shadow Lord episode 8:
Dude, can you imagine if Maul not only saw Savage in that dust storm there but also his and Savage’s family? The same family that waits for him to return even now. So not only does Maul see what Sidious has taken from him but COULD still.
HEY THERE WHY YOU GOTTA GO STOMPING MY HEART THAT IS Already BEEN SPLIT IN HALF??!!
But oh yes I can imagine the fear coursing through him. Through the sand and wind he sees them. The small forms of Aster and Cress. Ares and Eris at their sides. Starlight and Angel at a distance calling the little ones to follow them. Little Feral in angels arms. Something was coming someone was here….
It’s aster who screams first and runs forward toward Starlight. The familiar red of a lightsaber.
The other small children run behind Aster, it’s Cress who is just slow enough…
Maul hears himself screaming. The small form lifted into the air and the boys horrified screams calling for his buir and Maul to save him.
“not him. Not him. NOT HIM” maul keeps repeating. Not his little boy.
Cress was not like him. Cress was kind. Cress was good.
“This one won’t do.” His Master scoffs. Cress’s screams silence at once.
A weight dropped hard to the metal floor.
Maul loses consciousness with the cacophony of the others screams and his own.
the moment I saw scorn and icarus, i immediately thought of cress
and while sam witwer stated that the zabrak brothers remind maul of savage, i wonder if he also thinks about his eldest boy whenever he looks at them AHHHHHHH
Anon! This made my morning! It made me so happy to know someone thought of Cress!
Oh Maul definitely thinks of Cress when he sees the zabrak brothers, he wonders if Cress will grow up to be similar. The two poke fun at another and playfully push at another. Cress has that opportunity with his cousins…cress has a chance unlike Maul and his brothers.
He will ensure Scorn and Icarus remain safe.
(I AM SCARED FOR ICARUS THAT IS A NAME THAT TEMPTS FATE)
