I have ideas. Many ideas. | ddde : stepdad!Vader/Dad!Vader.

You are adopted since you are a force sensitive child who grew up in an aristocratic/noble family. Knowing well that he must keep «the rule of the two», and since he knows that it doesn't matter how much he despises having an apprentice (Anakin loved it. Vader hates it), he needs to teach the strong dark ways of the Force and continue the line of the Empire.

So he does just that.

He waits until you are 18 to bring you to the Star Destroyer. He asks his admiral to explain the situation to you, he just watches your reaction very closely. He can sense fear, uncertainty but a strange feeling of resignation; there is no way to escape him, so you might as well play along and fulfill the role he choose for you when you weren't even conscious of your own hands.

Training is difficult, heavy and unbearable. Vader is a cruel Master. He doesn't yell, he doesn't scold you or anything, he just stares, and despite you not being to see his eyes, the weight of his gaze is sufficient. He corrects your pose, swats you with the base of his lightsaber, and apparently loves to use it to raise your chin— which follows the only thing you hear whenever you train.

"Keep your head up."

Not only you have to be skilled for combat, but without peace of mind and a trained brain, strength can only take you so far. He will keep you glued to his side at all times, you are more than a shadow than his own cape is at some point.

People ask questions. People stare. And it is easier to simply dismiss every gossip.

"It's my daughter."

And no one dares to ask further, because the only person who dared to ended up with their throat crushed.

And that's how it starts. There's no longer a need to call his apprentice «Padawan». There is no warmth feelings, no camaraderie, no bonding, and definitely not a stupid little braid.

You are just his daughter.

So you might as well call him «Dad», right?

Summary: 

Darth Vader, plagued with visions of a boy he doesn't recognize, travels to Tatooine to find answers.

There he meets a 12-year-old stray, the spitting image of a young Anakin Skywalker, except for the features only Padmé and the royal family of Naboo possessed: two pointed ears and a tail, identical to those of a tooka-cat.

Vader refuses to be parted from his son after only just finding him, but Luke is wild, and more than a little feral, and on top of that — he's the last of his kind. Vader knows nothing about fatherhood, and less than nothing about human/tooka hybrid rearing. He's going to need all the help he can get.

Thankfully, the Death Squadron always have their General's back.

"Did he take my lightsaber?" Vader asked, hardly able to believe Luke would do such a thing.

Yes! I tried, but I couldn't stop him!

"Where is he?"

Downstairs! Come on!

He followed Artoo into the elevator and pressed the button for the lowest level, at the droid's urging.

I'm sorry about all those judgemental things I said about your parenting, the droid babbled, as the elevator began to rush down to the basement. He's out of control! Worse than you ever were.

Vader looked down at the droid, unsure whether or not to feel insulted.
