WHO: Edgar Bones, Amelia Bones, and Edward Bones WHEN: Sunday, March 5th, 1978. 6:02PM WHERE: The Great Hall

Without a doubt, this had been the strangest year at Hogwarts, to date. There was the added addition of political warfare taking place all around school. His love life had never seen so much turmoil. His grades were terrible, and he was no longer a member of the Ravenclaw Quidditch Team. But, also without a doubt, the most strange part about this year had been the ever-constant presence of his father. Edgar loved his dad fiercely, but he had always been used to the independence he experienced during his time at Hogwarts. This forced close proximity had led to a lot of strife in their relationship. Thankfully, tonight would be his father’s last night at Hogwarts. Edgar would be lying if he said he wasn’t happy to see his father go. In all honesty, it was probably a good thing for dad too. He’d been gone from mum for so long, and he could do with a rest, especially after the Acromantula and the attack on Hogsmeade. 

This would be good for their relationship, as well. Edgar would leave school, and hopefully his father would come to understand the path that he wished to take. And if he didn’t, Edgar would have all of the time in the world to get him to come around. Smiling at his reflection, Edgar adjusted his tie in the mirror, making sure that he was all ready for his last dinner with his dad until after the end of the school year. When he was sufficiently satisfied, Edgar made his way down to the Great Hall, where Amelia was already sitting. He dropped down in the seat across from her. “Hey.” He greeted simply, reaching for the pitcher of water to pour himself a glass. “Have you seen Dad yet?”
