<Badboyhalo> joined the game
Sapnap looked down at his communicator and immediately put his sword and shield away and headed back to the ship.
•
Dream felt the buzz of the communicator but continued to mess with the note blocks he had managed to acquire. It wasn’t until message alerts came one right after another that he put down what he was doing to see what was happening.
<CaptainPuffy> whispered to you: Dream, Bad’s back.
<CaptainPuffy> whispered to you: Dream…
CaptainPuffy whispered to you: Duckling, get back now please or I’m blowing up those note blocks.
Dream laughed. He knew Puffy wouldn’t really blow up his note blocks but it was better to do as she says.
<Dream> whisper to <CaptainPuffy>: On my way

George casually walked over to where Sam had placed his communicator. He had placed it with their things a good distance away from the bank of the lake so they wouldn’t get wet. Sam was too distracted with the fish at the end of his line to hear the distinct alert of a message coming through. George wasn’t ready to go back to the group. He had finally convinced Sam to join him for an afternoon of fishing.
Sam must have noticed that George was no longer beside him.
“Message?” He asked.
George froze. The idea of lying crossed his mind but a pang of guilt settled in his stomach. They had been trying to be more honest and communicate better. He sighed and nodded. Reaching for his own communicator he read the message of Bad joing their server.
“Bad’s here,” he sighed.
Sam smiled as he put his fishing rod into his inventory and walked to where George stood with a disappointed look on his face. Picking up his own communicator he confirmed what George had said.
“Looks like we got to cut this adventure short.” He looked at George and the disappointed look seemed to grow on his face. Sam knew he had been looking forward to this afternoon with him. George enjoyed finishing and took any opportunity to get off the ship in the new hobby with anyone if they offered. When Sam had offered to join him the excitement in George’s face was enough of an answer. Cutting their day short wasn’t something he wanted to do but Bad’s visits back were few, far between, and short.
He watched as George gathered up his things.
“Next time we should travel to a different server. Less interruptions.”
He watched as George took in what he said. The disappointed look faded and was replaced with a smile creeping onto his face.
“Sounds good.”
That’s all he said and it was enough for Sam. George handed Sam his things.
“Good,” Sam nodded as he took them and placed them in his inventory. “Now, let’s go see what Bad has been up to.”
•
“Remind me again why Foolish didn’t come with you?” Puffy’s voice sounded disappointed but her face showed annoyance as she placed a mug of coffee in front of Bad.
Badboyhalo looked at the dark liquid and smiled. “The best coffee on any server,” he announced loudly before taking a huge gulp.
Puffy rolled her eyes. “Your compliment doesn’t overshadow the point you are here without my shark boy.”
“Foolish still server hopping?” Dream asked as he barged into the galley of the ship. He patted Bad on the back. “Welcome back.” He looked at the mug he was holding and asked as he pointed, “Whatcha got there?”
Bad held out his mug for Dream to catch a whiff of his coffee. Dream wrinkled his nose and Puffy laughed.
“There’s cocoa in the blue kettle, duckling. Help yourself.”
Dream smiled widely and gave her shoulder a squeeze before serving himself.
Puffy continued to glare at Bad.
“He had work to do and he’s been having so much fun on the other servers. Can you blame him?” Bad looked over her shoulder to where Dream was serving himself the cocoa in the biggest mug he could find in the cupboard. “Besides, your duckling is still around.”
Puffy turned her head to see Dream with not just a mug of cocoa but a handful of cookies. “Not too many, Dream. Hopefully Sam and George will be bringing fish for dinner.”
“Well you are about to be disappointed,” Sam called from down the hall of the ship.
Groaning Puffy responded, “You were out most of the day. How did you not catch anything?”
“We didn’t go fishing at the dock. We traveled to a lake on the other side of the forest,” Sam explained as he walked into the room with the others. “Not the best fishing spot but it was beautiful.”
George trailed in behind him and walked straight to where Dream was standing. Hand stretched out, Dream rolled his eyes and handed him a cookie.
Bad looked behind him towards the hallway and then back to his almost empty mug.
“More coffee, Bad?” Puffy asked as she got up from the table.
He didn’t acknowledge her question.
“Bad,” Puffy said a little louder with still no reply.
Sam tapped his shoulder and Bad about jumped out of his seat.
“Huh, what?”
“Puffy asked if you wanted more coffee but I think we should switch you to herbal tea,” Sam teased lightly.
Bad chuckled and wrapped his hand around the mug. “No thank you, Puffy. I’m fine.”
Puffy could hear in his voice he wasn’t truly telling the truth. She looked at Sam and they both seemed to agree that his somber mood was because someone hadn’t shown up yet.
“He went out to the armory early this morning,” said Sam as he walked over to the empty seat at the table. “He should be back any moment.”
Bad just simply nodded. “So, how are things, Sam?”
“Good,” Sam replied. “Slow. No real progress on training new hunters but Dream, George, Sapnap when he’s here, and I have been messing with some new tech. Should be fun when it’s fully up and running.”
“We’ve just really been enjoying new adventures,” Puffy added. “Dream has been experimenting with music again. He’s had a few visitors come and join him. You should take a listen before you leave.”
“I’d love to, that is if I’m allowed.”
Dream smiled and nodded. “Of course you are, Bad. My area is not far from here. We can go after dinner.”
“How have your travels been? Last we heard from you you were working on some statues,” Puffy asked.
“Oh yes! I have,” he answered excitedly. He looked through his inventory and pulled out a shulker box. He placed it on the table and pulled out a photo album. “I have pictures.”
As he was about to open the album to show off the pictures he had taken, heavy and rushed footsteps were heard above them.
“Idiot is home,” George said as he took the final bite of his cookie. Dream playfully nudged him with his shoulder and George rolled his eyes.
“I’m here!” Sapnap’s voice carried from the door of the deck down the halls and to the galley where they all congregated.
“We’re in the galley, son. Hurry, I’ve got pictures to show you!” Bad called down the hall. He motioned for Sam to scoot over so there would be an open space for Sapnap to stand or to place a chair to take a seat if he wanted.
Once everyone was settled, Sapnap sitting beside Bad, Puffy and Sam across the table and George and Dream standing behind them, Bad opened the photo album he had put together of images he collected of moments and builds he wanted to remember. It was one of the few things he managed to keep from past servers.
He began flipping the pages wanting to get to a certain picture when Sapnap stopped him.
Fingers holding the page from being flipped, Sapnap stared at the gleaming white building that looked like it was on or near a beach.
“This place looks familiar,” Sapnap said, moving the album in a position where he could get a better look.
Sam arched his neck to get a better view of the picture Sapnap was looking at. The deep sigh of relief he let out when he saw that the image of the build was from its early days. The build that would later rise behind it wasn’t to be seen in the photo.
“It’s a home I built for us on a server we lived on for a while,” Bad said vaguely. It was the truth. They did live on the server for about 3 years and he had built the quartz mansion for them to live in but Sapnap had chosen a different path during the construction. Deep down he always wanted his son to live with him there but respected that Sapnap needed to pave his own way during that life.
“Really?” Sapnap looked closer at the image. “It’s made of quartz?”
Bad nodded. “Found every piece of it in the Nether,” he paused and chuckled. “Well the first time I built it. The few times I have to rebuild and or repair I may or may not have rummaged through a few chests.”
Laughter erupted around the table and Bad scrunched his nose. “It was only fair! My poor area became the playground for shenanigans.”
Shaking his head he flipped the page. Images of pyramids, jungle tree houses, expansive villager trading halls, and more filled the album's pages.
“Here it is,” he said in amazement. “He pushed the album to the middle of the table. “My latest statue.”
Everyone around the table stood to get a look at the photo of the statue. It was Puffy and Sam who had silent reactions.
Puffy placed her hand over her heart and tears pricked the corners of her eyes. Sam looked at the image and up at Bad who was watching for their reactions. He nodded at Bad and took a seat.
“It looks great, Bad. One of your best if not THE best.”
Puffy nodded in agreement as she took her seat.
The three boys continued to look at the photo in awe. The image of what looked like a crowned piglin warrior stood proud with one foot on the head of a wither skeleton. Their cape billowing in the wind
with a diamond sword in one hand and a trident in the other ready for battle.
“He looks awesome,” Dream exclaimed as he moved the album to get a better look.
Sapnap seemed to be trying to recall who the statue was. After moments of coming up with no names he asked, “Who is it?”
Eyes quickly moved on him. Puffy looked to be a bit heartbroken that Sapnap didn’t know who it was. They knew that their younger members seemed to be hazy on past events but a part of them had hoped some things and people would still remain in their memories.
“He seems familiar,” George commented, eyes squinting. “But the name isn’t coming to mind.”
“He looks so fierce. Did you know him, Bad?” Dream asked as he looked at the image closer. The feeling he knew him personally itched at the back of his mind.
Bad grinned widely. “I had the absolute pleasure of knowing this great person known as Technoblade. He was a dear friend.”
“Was?” Dream looked up at Bad, a solemn look on his face.
“He has ascended and is now doing battle with XD.”
The room grew quiet.
“Did you know him, Puffy?” Dream quietly asked.
She smiled and nodded. “He was the best ally anyone could have. Technoblade saved my life.”
George looked to Sam and before he could ask he said, “The Great Technoblade and I were at odds at one point but I made my peace with him.”
George’s eyes grew wide, “Can you tell us more about him?”
“Yeah, dad, please,” Sapnap chimed in excitedly.
Bad smiled, “It would be an honor to share the Legend of The Technoblade.”
(((GlitchNote: Thank you so much for reading. I was really inspired to add Techno into in AU because of the amazing build Badboyhalo did on the Realm server. What an amazing tribute to an amazing person. Just like how in the story Technoblade is never forgotten. Technoblade never dies! Again thanks for reading. See you in the next one. Whenever that will be. XD)))

(DSMP - Scarlet AU)
---
It was not much time since I had this AU in my mind. Less than a year, to be honest. This AU is mostly a tribute to the closed RP project. I had too many ideas and used too little of them, so I decided to make something else… And here we are. Scarlet AU is another fantasy AU, there are many of them on the Internet, but this one is a little more personal for me. I may be not a master of the words (also considering that English isn't my first language) or a great artist, but I wanna share something, so why I shouldn't do it? I'll tell you more later about this world, and show more too. So… see ya next time? I hope I won't make you wait for too long. Care for yourself and don't forget to watch your step, or else you can fall into lava.
