salmonduo brainrot masterpost so you guys know what I’m talking about half the time
okay so to me (and my au?) c!wilbur married c!sally very young out of fear he would die too quickly to ever be ready for a relationship. bfnozozz and that caused a lot of problems in their marriage because they were both so unprepared, but the love was still strong. I believe that for sure
still not sure how I think c!fundy was really born, I have multiple ideas and they all sound very good so I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to decide
but anyways fundy was born, maybe 8 months after, sally died while on a trip for work. they never really got to say goodbye. and I think that destroyed Wilbur because he was supposed to be the one to die for their family, not his lover. and I think he blamed himself a little bit for the accident
fundy definitely doesn’t remember a lot about sally, but knows she loved to participate in the arts. He remembers his mom picking up paintbrushes around his house and covering the walls with beautiful depictions of the sky and sea. He remembers drawn out, melodic pieces played on a ginormous brass instrument with a low grumble. but the thing he remembers most was his mother making the clothes for his family during the times when father couldn’t get as many groceries, or the house felt colder. And as he got older he wondered if the sweater Wilbur wore all the time was made by sally. Fundy was too scared to ask though, because every time he brought up mom wilbur became different than the comforting man he knew his father to be.
After Sally’s death, they moved to what became l’manburg because Wilbur couldn’t deal with living in the old house anymore. Fundy remembers the last day in the house, his dad sat in his mama’s rocking chair and stared at the paintings for hours. he remembers Wilbur being very quiet when they left. someone was missing. someone was always supposed to walk with them when they moved on from the old cabin, to bigger and better things. there were only two though.
fundy was maybe eight in fox years when they started lmanburg, and 15 when the war was declared. he aged a lot quicker because he wasn’t human and I think that caused a lot of confusion and hurt for wilbur. because that was his baby a few months ago and now fundy’s almost older than him. I think he was really jealous of other parents
but something about c!wilbur raising a child and fighting a war and running a country and having a family and doing all these things with so many eyes on him and people out for him but he played the guitar and he wrote poetry. and fundy being so young and trusting his dad and being ignored and having to fight and rebelling because that’s what he was taught to do and then everyone left him and his mama is dead but he loves and someone please assassinate me
