my sister's friend that just moved out here from texas is temporarily staying with us until he finds a stable job and stuff and when my mom was talking to my dad about it, one of the first thing he said was "well that means i have to control myself now" and by that, he meant controlling his anger and what not and i was like ???????????????????? i honestly don't even think he has bipolar. i think he just uses that as an excuse to do whatever he wants and to get out of things. like he'll be saying that he blacked out and doesn't remember what happened but then bring up the same situation where he supposedly blacked out and it's like wut

he's really just a manipulative asshole

wow i just had a honest to god just long and casual conversation with my dad about like, life and my friends and jobs and some other stuff and it was.... nice. he didn't yell and he didn't get angry with me and i could joke aroundand it was kinda fun and i enjoyed itand i just talked with him for like 2 hours and he even said he'd take me to see boston tomorrow and that's like amazing that he's going to do that and i know it's stupid but i'm like crying because my relationship with my dad has been really strainedfor a really long time now and things actually felt kind of normal just now and it reminded me of when we were really close and i'm just really sad and also happy. it's just nice that we could talk and hang out and not get into a fight for once, and he didn't make me feel shitty and we just kinda chilled and bro'd out a bit and i really miss being friends with my dad but i'm sad because i know this is a rare occasion now and i know it is just gonna go back to being rough real soon but this was nice and i appreciate having a nice, friendly talk with him for once
