Honora Patrem tuum [pt.4]
Ta-da, surprise
----------------------------------------------
"Can you say my name? Sii-mee." "Aah…hee" No, they weren't the right sounds. You tried again, moving your tongue better. You knew what you had to do, it was frustrating that your mouth wasn't cooperating. But better than not talking at all. "Mmh…meeeh…mmh…ah." "Too hard, right? Try Daddy. Daa…dee" “Gaah…aaa…ghee.” The angel laughed, finishing taping your diaper on the waist. "It's Daa…" "A-aah..Gah…gaa…." "…dee." "Aee…ghe-ee…"
Oh, how adorable you were, trying to talk and call him! Simeon leaned towards your tummy, kissing your exposed skin playfully. "Daddy's little lamb is so cute, it makes you want to eat them. Yum!" You trilled with happiness, squirming on the changing table and kicking your legs as he nibbled you. "Ga-ga!" From this position you managed to grab a lock of his hair but, instead of rising up, he pressed his face even more and blew a raspberry at you. The ticklish sensation made you laugh so hard that you let him go, waving your hands as you giggled. Once you had calmed down, the angel finished buttoning your onesie and then rested his chin on your now covered ribs. He was looking into your eyes with a smile, and a look so loving that it made you feeling butterflies in the stomach . "You're Daddy's whole world, you know that right, little lamb?" You smiled back at him, babbling behind your thumb.
------------------------------------------------------------
You were going to the park. You loved this time of the day, even if you would never admit it openly. Well, actually there was no need to admit it, Simmy saw your eyes light up every time he told you that you were going out for a walk. It was absolutely humiliating to be in the pram, but it was comfortable. When he laid you down on it, you immediately snuggled into the soft mat. You couldn't turn around, sure, the band held you in place on your back, but it felt good. And you even managed to enjoy the ride, looking at the landscape of the Celestial Realm with curious eyes, as long as the other angels kept their dammit hands off you. But you quickly discovered that it was enough to fuss a little, grabbing hands towards Simmy and, once in his arms, hide your face against his neck. You couldn't stop the comments about how precious and shy you were, but at least no pinches on your cheeks or tickles under your chin. Every now and then you received strokes on the back, which were acceptable. The important thing was not to meet Michael again. Once you arrived, you were taken down from the pram and placed gently on the ground. You started crawling around as usual, exploring. Every day you went to a different area, today you were near a small pond. You approached it, looking at the water, so crystal clear that you could count the pebbles on the bottom. You were a bit disappointed that there weren't any fish. And those pebbles were all shades of white and grey. You expected something more colourful. Honestly, it was a little boring. “What is it, my lamby?” Your angel knelt behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist. "Don't you want to play? Does it scare you?" He took one of your hands, slowly dipping it into the water. It was… it was… "Gam!" Simeon laughed. "Yes baby, the water is warm!" - how he managed to understand what you meant was a mystery. You dipped your other hand too. It felt so good, it made you want to take a bath.
As if reading your mind, Simmy kissed your head and asked, "What do you say, do we want to get these little feet wet too?" You looked at him in surprise before nodding vigorously, making him chuckle again. "Okay, come here then." He sat down in a more comfortable position on the ground and settled you better in his lap. He took off your socks and barely managed to roll your pants up above your knees as you started squirming excitedly. Your feet were bare, so they had to soak in the water now! There was no time for other frivolous things like a sock. "Easy, easy, baby, almost done. That's it." He let go of your legs and held you by the waist again as you squealed. You happily kicked your legs in the pond, even trying to stretch them out to catch a pebble with your toes. It was shallower than you had thought. Simeon rummaged through the diaper bag he always carried with him, taking something out and handing it to you. "Look here who wants to play in the water with you."
It was a little blue whale shaped toy that you absolutely loved playing with during bath time. You immersed it as he had taught you and when you took it out, you squeeze it, releasing a jet of water from its head. Like a real whale! Of course, you correct yourself, you didn't like the toy itself, only the way you could use to wet the angel. Now that was fun! You dipped it in the pond, moving it back and forth, because it's a whale and whales swim, they don't stay still. Then they come back up and let the water out! You continued like this two, three, five more times, maybe? It might have been even more, but that didn't matter now. Rather… what would happen if the whale went to the bottom? You held it up, looking at it for a moment. You dropped it, expecting to see it head towards the pebbles. Instead, it simply remained still, floating on the surface of the water.
That's right, you remembered, bath toys float. You were ashamed of your stupidity. Since when were you becoming… like this? Something wasn't good. “Hey, what made my little lamby so upset?” Simmy's sweet voice brought you back to reality. "Doesn't the whale swim anymore?" His hand wrapped around your smaller one, helping you hold onto the toy. “Here comes the whale down…” You both submerged it. "…and now go back up." He helped you get it out. "Then you know what it does? It spits out the water!". He gently squeezed your hand and whale, letting the jet out. Yes, you had seen it hundreds of times before. But it was always fun. You giggled. You continued to play with him, in your Daddy's lap as he helped you move the toy, your attention completely absorbed. At one point you felt his hand rub your hair, a little too hard. You complained, shaking your head and squirming a bit. He didn't know that- "Oh, don't they like when I do that?" You snapped your head up. That wasn't your angel's voice. That was Michael's. The only one you didn't want to see anymore.
You squealed, snuggling into Simmy's chest. You were still embarrassed from the last time he witnessed your diaper change. You knew you couldn't avoid him forever, but at least let a little more time pass before you meet again, dammit! "Ahah, they prefer more when you stroke the hair like this." You felt another hand, this one more familiar and right in a certain way, gently runs through your locks and massage your scalp. Just the way you liked it. You curled up a little more. “…you used the angelic ability, didn’t you?” "Hmm, I don't understand what you mean." Simmy's tone didn't really seem… sincere. You looked at him out of the corner of your eye, suddenly interested in the exchange. Angelic ability? "They are too calm, you are putting their minds at ease." Michael's wasn't an accusation, just a simple statement. “Only at the beginning. Then they all settled down on their own.” He must have noticed you looking at him, because he looked down at you. He nuzzled your nose with his, murmuring “I simply have the most perfect little lamb in the three realm, isn't it right, baby?" You hummed in agreement. If he said so, it was right.
"Well, then you'll have to explain to me how you did it." Michael crouched down towards him and lowered his voice. "I spoke to our Father. He accepted forgiveness." Arms tightened around your waist as the angel unconsciously pulled you closer. “R-really?” What? What is happening? "Yes. And this means that…" the eyes of the strongest fell on you, meeting your gaze for a moment before you hid your face "...we have to do it tonight." "B-but…" "Simeon. We cannot delay. And if anything were to happen while he is here, you- no, we could lose them both." Simmy let out a sigh before giving you a sad smil. That was all it took, along with Michael's serious tone, to scare you. You were involved in something but you didn't know in what. You started whining. "Hush, hush, it's alright." The hand stroked up and down your back, calming you a bit. You suddenly felt tired, barely realizing there was even a second hand, a touch so light on your head it was almost imperceptible. "Come to the Palace after dinner. I'll take care of it." And with that, Michael stood up. "I'm going now. Don't worry, everything will be fine." He ruffled his brother's hair before walking away, leaving the park. Meanwhile, you were already dozing with your head on Daddy's shoulder, one leg still in the water and the other halfway on his lap.
A good place to stay and nap.
Everything will be alright...
"And then he said to me for the angelic ability, uh?"
