At least the voice actors in 2 seem to understand that "ploughing" should be used as an intensifier the same way as "fucking." :P

I'm trying *so hard* to play the first Witcher game.
How does it feel 10x more dated than TES: Oblivion, which came out a year earlier????
(okay yes the answer is probably "Dae you just have several hundred hours in Oblivion and have had 20 years to integrate it into your internal sense of How Games Work" but still.)
Okay, I'm back on my Witcher (2) bullshit again!
Happy to report that actually, you can rebind the keys. You just have to be in the game launcher menu (as opposed to somewhere reasonable LIKE THE IN-GAME SETTINGS) to do it. I am still struggling a bit with the overall system, though.
Dice poker is fancier than in 1, and there's an added component of it being VERY easy to roll the dice too hard, and you lose the use of any that go off the board.
I just saved a dwarf and a dipshit from the gallows and then subsequently spent all my money on books (as Geralt does). I'm deeply amused by how uncomfortable I am looting people's shops and houses now; the game is very much in the mode of earlier RPGs where you can just take anything anywhere that's not nailed down, with no consequences. I'm much more used to having everyone in the room pull knives on me if I accidentally click on an owned item!
Roche actually seems like a generally decent guy and I like him. Shame I'm almost certainly going to side with the Scoia'tael again.
Geralt's idea of seduction is *agonizing*, and yet he keeps getting laid, somehow. (Lady of the Lake card get)
Just bought two new games because Sale (and relevant to my interests)! Time to get back to an RPG that's old enough to vote instead.
I think I need a new thread (previous post, including poll).
Anyway, the game pronounces "Roche" like "roach" and the poll fairly overwhelmingly agreed with me that it should rhyme with "gauche" (thanks Tiggy for that phonetic contribution).
In other news, remember how I was complaining about the pathing in the last game? This one is much worse.
Apparently the best way to take fantasy cocaine is to rub it on your dick??????
Aaaand here's the succubus the fics keep mentioning.
Yeah, I'm gonna let her live and also fuck her. There was never any doubt about this.
