Rune a Day Project - Day 3 - November 3, 2021 - Dagaz

Day 3 of my Rune a Day project. Today I drew Dagaz, meaning "day" or sometimes "dawn". It represents success, prosperity, time and the cycle of day and night, transition, stability between opposites, breakthroughs, awakenings, clarity, balance, and the arrival of something new.

Dagaz is one of the two runes I've had the experience of waking up echoing in my mind (the other being Berkano/Berkana). Three days in a row, three generally positive runes.

Kawasaki ZRX1200R DAEG

I love the Kawasaki ZRX1200R model. I own one - last year of production: 2006, in the only colour available that year - brilliant Kawasaki Green. It is a very universal machine. It does the job as a daily ride, puts a smile on my face with its engine characteristics. And while having only a mini fairing - it's quite capable at long-distance touring (as it proved two weeks ago during my 8-day trip to Romania - I only put a taller windscreen on it). Timeline: Prior to Attack on Rhaglr’s Reach

The Red Chocobo Brigade made camp for one final night before joining the Resistance. Zansei, having stashed a bottle of Buscarron’s Mead passed it around, and prompted the group to share a story of friends or family. Something a Shinobi had done with him, some cycle or so ago. Daeg told of his life’s love, his Bryda. Bijna’la, talk of the day of RCB’s founding and a thank you to the group as his family. Saha’to, as the scoundrel always does, found a way to subvert the routine with a tale of being tied to masts. Emb brought it back with a tale of her childhood and a friend in the most dire of times. Sehn spoke of her child, Asha, and only barely managed to keep it together. Nora told of her mother, raising her and her sister. Sorine spoke of her company, of thanks to all who followed her lead. Vila, who could not let the night be void of laughs, told of a time her and her brothers clothes had gone missing after a fun day in a Central Shroud lake. Menelluin told of her first time shooting a bow with cousins, and a rather perturbed boar. The night finished with Zansei thanking them for their stories. He shared none of his own, just as the Shinobi had refrained.
