throughout my catholic schooling experience i kept being told that the Secular World would try and tempt you but you have to virtuously say No 🙅 and this certainly did not literally happen to me like back when I was still worried about this nobody was ever like heyyy don’t you want to abandon your morals to try drugs and impure literature ? but you know what DOES literally happen now in adulthood is people trying to tempt you to break laws about using government time and resources to work on advocacy projects or about accepting gifts from lobbyists. heyyy don’t you want to accept just one sandwich from me it’s on the company dime ? cant you take a meeting with me on the clock it’s just your work from home day ? and you must use your catholic school skills and virtuously say No 🙅. breaking government ethics laws: not even once. unless you are Eric Adams in which case go nuts
