Lady Rhaenyra Targaryen, daughter of Lord Viserys Targaryen and his first wife Lady Aemma Arryn, marries Sir Criston of House Cole, a man she is infatuated with.

Shortly after their marriage, rumors surface about an affair she is supposedly having, leading to a scandal and their eventual divorce. Her uncle, Daemon, who still harbors feelings for her, defends her honor but ends up exiled as a result.

The rumors are later to be revealed to be the work of Lady Alicent Hightower, Rhaenyra’s stepmother and former best friend, who sought to tarnish her reputation to conceal her own affair with Viserys which began a month before Aemma’s death.

When the truth is exposed, Alicent’s reputation suffers greatly, while Daemon is pardoned from exile. Criston begs Rhaenyra for reconciliation, but she chooses to be with Daemon instead.

Did I hear "same age Daemyra"?? 👀 Ooh, I had some ideas in my mind, like, (1) in modern au where they are total opposites (delinquent & model student) and seem to hate each other's guts from an outsider's perspective.

And the other, (2) Victorian era au, where Daemon (who kills people for his experiments/when they get too close to Rhaenyra) was obsessed with Rhaenyra (who knows of his feelings and what he's been doing unbeknownst to him), but he was hiding it well. Or that's what he thought.

In all those ideas, they're cousins raised under the same roof. 👉👈

These ideas are awesome, I particularly like the second one, I'm always down for some unhinged Daemon doing crazy things for Rhaenyra. And if he's hiding his feelings from her at first, EVEN BETTER 🔥

I think I'd prefer them to be siblings if they're already the same age, but that's just because dark siblings hits harder for me than dark cousins 🤭 but still great ideas nonetheless, nonnie, thanks for the message!
