the clawmarks on dean's face are from 1.16 "shadow"! sam actually has some too. my friend and i just finished watching season one and were lamenting the fact that they weren't permanent scars :-(

I mean—what a cool monster. definitely planning to work them into fic references from now on.

Daeva...translates to “demon of darkness”. Zoroastrian demons, and they’re savage, animalistic, you know, nasty attitudes—kind of like, uh, demonic pit bulls.
